Chapter 17 - Chapter Sixteen: love is in the air

His eyes couldn't be peeled away from her face, Jun-seo, the special senator of every woman's dreams stepped into the compound, he had a mission however. He wanted to find the person throwing dirt at him and the best way how was to catch them in the act.

But if he got caught first, it will be game over.

He casually stepped out of his Mercedes, he didn't have any bodyguards with him but he had agents with him, everywhere he went. The prostitutes looked at him suggestively but he didn't bother to glance at them.

But one particular lady caught his eye, she walked confidently in a red dress, she didn't bother to look at him but he knew she knew that his eyes were on her.

She finally took a glance at him, she frowned as she approached him, her slicked back hair make her look all the more attractive.

He gawked at her for so long he forgot what he was here for.

Suddenly his hearing device screeched with one of his agent's voice at the other side.

"Sir? Sir? Are you okay? You just paused and you are seemingly staring at something."

Jun-seo paused and blinked twice. "Nothing is wrong, bye."

Jun-seo couldn't hear another voice and his heartbeat calmed down drastically. The mystery woman was now in front of him, face to face.

"Can I help you?" He asked. Leah sighed and looked at him angrily.

"You know what? You should know why I'm here, you want to do it with me don't you?"

Jun-seo was confused. "Come with me." He said and took her hand in his, and they left the cold outside to the warm confines of the building.

Leah followed him dumbfounded, and their hands were still interlocked. They past the reception and hotel rooms. Leah was disgusted as to how exotic he wanted his experience to be.

They finally reached the roof. It was beautifully designed and decorated with beautiful flowers for every kind of person. Jun-seo didn't order or request for this but it apparently was there.

They looked at each other as they stopped at the middle of the rooftop. Leah looked at him intently and he looked back.

He smiled and took her hand in his and kissed it. "You seriously don't remember me?" He asked her with a curious tone at the edge of his question.

Only then alone did she understand who he truly was. Someone of her past, god just blessed her with.

Aliyah was still distressed, she wrapped herself up in a tight ball and cried as Luke just stood back and watched, he had his own battles to face and he wasn't sure what to do when a woman is fighting hers.

He finally bent down and patted her head slowly, just like how humans pet their dogs when they have done something good but this time his patting was directed towards comfort.

He couldn't place his finger on how to care for women but then he remembered he had a sister and there was one particular thing he did to calm her down.

He sat down on the floor beside her. And slowly wrapped his arm around her shoulder and forced her down to his lap, where she cried slowly.

He sang a sweet song his mother taught him.

_Back to the start

The world was unholy

But when I'm with you

My heart beats wholly

Please don't cry

Your tears kill me slowly.

I hope I see you smile

For more than a while._

Aliyah stops crying on his lap and looks at his face which reflected his current emotion, worry.

"Are you okay now?" He asked her, while he looked deep into her eyes.

"Yes" she said after looking at his mesmerising eyes.

Aliyah got up from his lap and laid down elsewhere in order to sleep. Luke just stayed back and observed her, when her breathing calmed down,he left the tent and went outside.

When he got outside, the moon illuminated the environment. He walked around in an attempt to clear his head.

He reached a high point in the forest and he sat down.

His brain went back to how broken Aliyah looked, she was right after all, they were lost they were all lost. Aliyah's eyes was the only thing that ran through his mind.

He threw a stone in frustration and just let all his anger out. He screamed and grunted, he never felt this way before, somehow this was all his fault, why would he want to marry her? He could have Reda all to himself.

She was nothing but problems and issues only.

She couldn't do anything right never!

Suddenly he heard rustling in the bushes and a creature came out. The creature's white fur reminded him only of Kay.

The creature came out and pounced on Luke, licking his face, it was Kay. But how did it find them?

Luke didn't need an answer, creatures in this world are very strange.

"Reda. Reda!" A loud voice spoke and woke Reda up. "What on earth do you want?" Reda spoke with a deadly tone to her voice.

"Are you seriously talking to me in that manner?" The bulky man said with a sense of anger in his voice, he was the general, one of the most feared men in their kingdom. Unfortunately he couldn't make Reda respect him whatsoever.

"What does my brother want this time?" She asked. "We have another mission for you Reda, and it involves the cat man."

Reda scrunched her eyebrows and started laughing hysterically.

"Wait... You want ME to seduce a cat man?" She continued laughing away, she couldn't stop.

"You have no choice Reda! Do as I say or die! Besides, you're not full dragon blood, you don't deserve any respect whatsoever, only an outcome of an affair, between who? I don't know."

Reda glared at the man as he walked outside. Her blonde hair was combed perfectly even though she woke up from sleep.

The man walked out and slammed the door behind him.

"Pfft whatever" a sinister voice spoke from the darkness.
