'Oh no!' Salima's heart dropped.
With quivering lips, "I am sorry Your Highness. I may have made some remarks about my feelings towards you, but I never gave that order. How stupid can I be to demand for your mate's life?" She asked as she cried, her head lowered to the ground.
Esteban smirked at her words.
"Do you know why your family's body is not yet cold? Because nothing happened to his mate. You are asking for mercy?" Kairo scoffs, "He has already been merciful enough, so either you get out as you were told, or he changes his decree... Maybe something less merciful." Kairo's words had Salima gulping as she hastily rushed out of the prince's office.
Her body became weak from the reality of her new life. The reality of how her actions destroyed her and her family's life dawned on her as she sat on the ground and sobbed.
