Kai who sat in the front seat with Deverick could feel the intense stare on his back. 'Why did he order me to stay in the same car as him?' A fidgeting Kai wondered as he clenched and unclenched his fist. Anxiety taking over him.
Esteban was intrigued by the boy. 'Was it bravery or stupidity?' He wondered as he admired the courage he took in approaching him.
"You said you two are friends, who is she?"
Kai was taken aback by the question. But he still mustered up the courage to respond. 'Who knows, I might get killed and thrown into this bush if I delay in responding to his question ' Kai's weird imagination made everything worse. "They are my friend."
Deverick cast Kai a glance as he shook his head. 'Is he always this stupid? Or does it come periodically?' He wondered as he went back to driving.
"You wouldn't be in my car if she were your enemy. Who is she?" Esteban asked Kai once more ignoring the correction that there are two ladies.
