Erick POV
I stand before my pack, now their Alpha with Kate by my side. I will ask her to marry me very soon, but there is one thing I have to do first for her. I have to help her find out more about her past. I am not sure if I can wait. I want her to have a permanent place in my life. I want her to be more than just my mate. I want her to be my forever, the mother of my children, and the Luna to this pack. She is my soulmate. I can feel it when I am near her.
I look down at Kate standing beside me. She seems both happy and sad at the same time. I wonder what is going through her mind right now. I know she has never had anything like this before. I only want her to be happy.
“Are you okay?” I ask her.
“I have never been happier,” she answers.
