Journal of Suzie - after marriage (Day 1)
It's two a.m. in Okunde and I can hear the frogs croaking outside. My husband Babida is deeply snoring so exhausted he is after the highly emotional and energy-consuming events of the past day.
As for me, I have difficulties finding sleep. I can't get my mind off the incredible things that have been happening to me since last afternoon.
I got wed to the greatest hero of the empire and tonight we shared the same bed and built love. It was extremely torrid and my body is trembling right now as I am rethinking it.
The wedding ceremony was filled with intense feelings. I was too excited to lay my lips on those of my then-groom and my now husband Babida, even before the celebration was concluded.
To be honest, at some point I stopped following the speech of General Dipi because I found it a bit too long. Aside from that, he did a great job as an occasional priest.
