At the boys' house...
Alex and Rachel arrives at the house. The two of them starts walking to the kitchen to make dinner, which Rachel insisted that she wants to help Alex with cooking.
"What are you cooking?" Rachel ask as she watches Alex mixing up some vegetables and chopped chickens.
"I'm trying to stir fry vegetables with seasoned chickens," says Alex as he continues to stir fry the vegetables and chickens.
"Looks good," says Rachel as she continue to stir some eggs on a bowl, since she's planning to make a sponge cake for dessert.
"Well, not as good as you," Alex says as he turns his head for a moment to give Xiali a wink.
This guy is such a flirt. Rachel thought as she roll her eyes.
"You always know how to smooth talk, even when you're cooking," Rachel says while continueing to stir the eggs in the bowl.
"I'm not smooth talking though. I'm just saying what's in my heart," Alex says with a sassy tone.
"Yeah right," says Rachel as she puts a spoon of sugar to the bowl. "And you actually thought I would believe that?"
"Why not?" Alex says with a cheeky smile. "I'm being honest."
"Honest in showing that you truly are too good with your words," Rachel says.
Alex forms a small smile after hearing Rachel's statement.
She's so cute. Alex thought.
After a while, Alex and Rachel eventually finish cooking the dishes for tonight's dinner. They had cooked various dishes such as stir fried vegetables mix with chickens, scrambled eggs, and mushroom cream soup. For dessert, Rachel had cooked a sponge cake covered with chocolate syrup.
Alex and Rachel sits down as they have dinner together and drink red wine. Both of them enjoy the dishes they have cooked, and are having a good time as they share stories to one another.
"So you often go back to Ottawa to visit your family?" Rachel ask.
"Yes. I visit them a few times a year," says Alex before he takes a sip of his red wine.
The two talk about a lot of topics together, until they both finish their dinner. Alex starts to clean the table, in which Rachel insisted to help.
"All done," Rachel says as she walks out of the kitchen. She sees that the bottle of white wine is still on the dining table.
"How about if we continue our drink with a different scenery?" Alex ask as he walks out of the kitchen and into the dining room.
"Where?" Rachel ask.
"The garden," Alex says.
"Oh ok," Rachel says.
Alex and Rachel walks to the backyard of the house. Alex and Rachel takes a seat on two chairs that are placed near the back door of the house, where they can have a good view of the garden. Rachel's eyes starts to observe the garden, looking mesmerized by its beauty. The garden is filled with various flowers, with some lights decorating the garden. Meanwhile, Alex pours two glasses of red wine and gives one to Rachel.
"Cheers," says Alex, before he and Rachel starts to take a sip of their red wine.
Alex and Rachel takes a seat on the chairs near the door as they continue to talk. After a while, the two eventually get tipsier as they drink more and more, as Alex continues to tell Rachel his story of meeting the boys and being a part of the gang.
"So, you were in Minnesota before?" Alex ask. He is already a bit tipsy at this point, yet he can still control it.
"Yeah, but my family and I moved to New York eventually," says Rachel with a tipsy tone before she takes another sip of her white wine. "What about you? Tell me more about yourself."
"Well, my family and I moved to Ottawa when I was 5 years old. My dad started a business and well I start to adapt and grew up there," says Alex.
"I see," says Rachel as she takes another sip of her wine. "So...how did you end up meeting the guys?"
"Jack and I had known each other since we were both little. We were quite close, until my family and I had to move to Ottawa," says Alex. "We still kept in touch though. Sometimes our families would meet up every time my family and I went to Minnesota."
Alex takes another sip of his wine, letting hinself get more and more tipsy. "As for Liam and Nate, I actually met them through Jack a few years ago in Minnesota."
Rachel notice that Alex suddenly became silent. He suddenly has a sad expression written on his face as he gets more tipsy.
"Before I met them, I was a part time gangster myself back in Ottawa," says Alex. "When I was 15, I met a girl at a friend's party. She was 2 years older than me and was very beautiful. I told myself it was love at first sight, and other than that, she was my first love," Alex adds as he is trying hard to hold the sadness as he didn't want to cry in front of Rachel.
"What happened?" Rachel ask as she stares at Alex who looks drunk and sad at the same time.
"Her name was Zoey. We eventually started dating, though my parents were against our relationship. I would still see her from time to time," says Alex. "One day, my dad found out about me still seeing her. Since that, I was grounded. He took away my phone and I wasn't allow to go anywhere expect school."
Alex lets out a sigh. "One day, I've had enough and decided to escape school and went to her place," says Alex as he struggles to hold back the tears that slowly starts to form in his eyes. "But it was too late."
"What happened?" Rachel ask.
"When I arrived, she was being attacked by a man. She didn't make it," says Alex. "I tried to chase after the man, but he had ran away."
"I was a fool. I couldn't protect her," says Alex. "I was so depressed, I talked to my friend Bill about it. To my surprise, he actually offered to help me out in finding this guy and giving him a taste of his own medicine."
"How?" Rachel ask.
"I found out that Bill is a gangster himself. He offered me to join his team in which I accepted. We eventually found the guy and finish him to death," Alex says.
"Oh," Rachel says, feeling surprised after hearing Alex's story.
"The feeling of finishing my enemy to death sends a sort of addiction to me. Eventually, I got addicted in the gangster life. I wanted to teach people who ruined other people's life lessons. Bill helped make an excuse to my parents to let me leave home every night, and because my parents thought I was probably over Zoey, they let me," says Alex. "But well, my parents eventually found out about me being in a gang. They got furious and start to worry that my actions could get me into trouble. I got depressed since they grounded me again and forbid me to see Bill. They even had to home schooled me because they were so worried."
Alex puts down his now empty glass. "Finally, when I went to college, they start to worry that I'll get in contact with Bill again. And so, they decided to send me off to New York. When I got to New York, I contacted Jack and we meet up to catch up on things. He also introduced me to the guys. At the time he also told me that he was looking for his childhood friend, which was you. They offered me to join the gang, which I happily accept. Regarding this, they agreed to not let my family know about it. That's the story."
"Alex," Rachel says with a low tone as she is still surprised after hearing Alex's story. "I'm so sorry."
"Spencer, please stop apologizing for things that are not even your fault," Alex says as he touches his head. Rachel could tell he's already pretty drunk now.
Rachel became silent as she watches Alex in his drunk state. She was surprised by what just she just heard. She never expected someone with a flirty charm like Alex could have such a deep story. For a moment, she really feels bad for him, and wants to make him feel better and care for him.
"Alex, you look drunk. Let me take you in," says Rachel as she gets up and pulls Alex from the chair. She gently drags him back inside the house and puts him down on the couch.
11:45 PM....
At Fantipsy Night Club, Las Vegas...
It has been a crowded night at Fantipsy Night Club, where people would come to let loose after a hard day's work. It has been known to be one of the best places to get lost if you want to grab a drink, dance a little, and maybe find a random hookup to take home for the night. Other than that, it is also known to be one of the favorite spots for gangsters to have a chill drink at night.
A tall guy wearing a white shirt, black leather jacket and black jeans can be seen walking through the crowd with a bottle of whisky in his hand. He could see that a lot of ladies at the club have their eyes on him. It made them wonder what a stunning looking guy with dark brown hair, sparkling amber eyes, and exotic tan skin is doing all alone without a woman at the club. Yet, the guy didn't care much about all the attention he's getting and only gave the ladies flirty glance at some points. He finally reach his table where his friends are waiting for him.
"Cheers to the 3rd bottle of the night!" says the guy, Sebastian , as he holds the bottle high with an excited face. "Let's get this party going!"
"Wait, Brother! Let's turn this up with a different kind of music," says his younger brother, Alfredo.
"Up to you," says Sebastian as he takes a seat in between his group of friends.
Alfredo starts walking to the DJ and request to change the songs into his favorite remixes.
"How about if we turn things hotter since my friends and I are up for a celebration?" says Alfredo to the DJ.
"Ah, coming right up, Mr Sanchez," says the DJ.
Alfredo walks back to the table with a smile as he sees his friends are having another round of a drinking game.
"Woah, what did I miss?" Alfredo ask as he takes a seat beside his brother.
"Nothing. We were just about to start another round of the drinking game," Sebastian says.
"Ah, but I think Sebastian here is probably gonna win this game again," says one of their friends, Brad, before he takes another sip of his whisky.
"Sebastian is the king of whisky," says another of their friends, Olivia, she puts her arm on Sebastian's shoulder. "I doubt any of you guys could beat him."
"Hey! I'm his brother and let me tell you that I'm just as strong as he is in drinking," says Alfredo.
"The last time you didn't even finish your fifth glass," Brad says, before he burst into a big laughter along with his friends.
"I'll show you guys just how strong I really am tonight," Alfredo says, before he takes the bottle of whisky and drinks it, making all his friends look in surprise.
"Woahhh....way to go," Olivia cheers.
"Damn, my little bro is growing up," Sebastian says as he claps his hands for his little brother.
The group of friends continue with their game while getting lost in the moment.
Alfredo ends up dancing in the middle of the dance floor with a random girl, while Brad fell asleep on the sofa, and Sebastian and Olivia are just spending some time together.
"Looks like we have a new king of whisky around," says Olivia as she sits on Sebastian's lap while facing him. "Are you sad about it?"
"Nah, I'm happy that my bro could beat me in something. That means he's growing up," Sebastian says as he puts his hands on Olivia's waist. "Besides, I still think I'm the real winner here.."
"Why?" Olivia ask with a small yet flirty smile.
"Because I have the queen," Sebastian says as he continues to stare into Olivia's eyes. He starts getting closer to her until their lips meet each other, making the night feel longer.
To be continue...
