Ethan helped me back to bed and placed a kiss on my forehead before leaving the room. I stared at the door he left from and noticed the whole room went silent, and felt my eyes getting heavy making it clear whatever that tablet was, it was working, and in a few seconds, I dozed off with no worry about the world.
My mind forced me to wake up after hearing some noises in the room. I force my eyes open to see the source of the sound, but my vision got blurry making it hard for me to see who it was for at the first glance.
I groaned in pain, pulling my body to sit on the bed, and blinked a few times trying to get a clear view of who it was, and noticed a figure of a person rushing out of the room, as if they were running to save their lives.
