Quinn's face burned with embarrassment and she sighed in exasperation. She knew her mom would get back at her for coming down late and delaying them. As she didn't say a word when she came down the stairs, she had let her guard down.

She was celebrating her eighteenth birthday tonight at the Silver Jade Lodge banquet hall.
