Sara looked around the apartment and found alot of pictures of her and Josh. She knew there was a connection to all this but she couldn't figure out what it was. She saw a desk and walked over to it looking at the stack of files that was in a pile. There was a photo Framed on the desk. She took it up and turned it around to see her and Josh together. He had his arms around her and they were both smiling. She was about to put it back when she heard a car door slam shut and footsteps coming towards the apartment. Running into the living room she grabbed a knife from the bowl of fruits and hid behind the bookcase. As the door opened , She clenched the knife in her hand tightly. she heard footsteps approaching in her direction. The person was the same guy she saw before. He was here with a girl and then she saw him at the club. But what shocked her the most is that he was the same guy in the picture with her. She couldn't believe it. She was about to scream but placed a hand over her mouth as he walked into the bedroom. Still behind the bookcase and unable to see what he was doing, she came out of hiding and turned to run outside. But he slammed the room door shut and grabbed her hand. "No let me go...." "You'll what?" He asked staring into her eyes tightening his grip on her wrist as the knife fell on the ground. "Who are you?" She asked twisting her hand in his. "Tell me!" She yelled looking at him as He looked at her puzzled. ''You really don't remember me do you....Lizzy I'm your boyfriend Josh...to be more precise my name us Joshua King and you are my girlfriend Elizabeth Morgan." He said not breaking eye contact with her. "No that can be true...you lieing to me." She shouts in a loud voice. Josh looked at her and releases her hand she rubs her wrist staring at him as he leans against the door. "Please don't leave...just sit I will tell you everything that happened. He was about to tell her all that occurred and why she didn't remember him but she grabbed the knife and put it to her throat. Shocked and afraid Josh rushed to her. "Stop...dont come any closer...I want to leave this place now....let me go." She pleaded with tears streaming down her face. Josh began to back away slowly. "Alright...I'm moving...I wont stop you okay...you can leave if you want to." He said in a soft voice. Sara slowly walked to the door and headed to the living room. She placed the knife on the table and took the photo from his desk. She quickly rushes out the door before Josh could catch her. He follows her out of the apartment. She quickly got into her car and drove off. He does the same following her as she continued to drive faster. She knew he was following her and tried to loose him but he kept up with her until she manages to reach her home.
Ryan and Gina were slow dancing when the heard her calling out to them. They quickly opened the door to see her running towards the house. The expression on her face had them worried. "Your back early...did something happen?" Gina asked as Sara ran inside pulling Gina with her. "He's following me." Sara crys. "Who?" Ryan asks when he saw Josh getting out of his car and walking up to the house. Ryan looks at Sara who was trembling and crying. He could tell she was afraid. "You two stay here I will handle this." He said closing the door and standing on the porch. 'Who are you...and why are you following Sara?" He asked as Josh stood near the steps of the house. "Sara….her name is liz ." Josh said looking up at Ryan. "Please let me see her...." Josh begged. Confused Ryan looked at him as he reaches for his wallet taking out a picture of him and liz together. 'What business do you have with her?" Ryan questioned as Josh showed him the picture. For a moment Ryan stood silently looking at the picture. "She's my girlfriend." Josh said making Ryan look him. "Girlfriend?" Ryan says with furrowed brows. He was puzzled but very interested in what this stranger had to say. "Alright explain." Ryan ordered. "Yes her name is Elizabeth Morgan...and she is the daughter of Don Alejandro West Morgan." Josh said explaining. Ryan just stood there listening to him in silence. After hearing what Josh had to say Ryan invited him inside but Sara went into her room leaving the door opened just enough so she could listen to what he had to say. Josh sat and talked to Gina and Ryan about everything that had happened. "we looked everywhere but we couldn't find her….look I know you both might not believe me, but everything I told you is the truth…even her brother will confirm what I'm saying." He said bowing his head in sadness. He looks up hearing the door open and was shocked to see Sara walk out with the photo in her hand. "I-I have a brother?" She asked. Josh stood up and looked at her nodding in agreement. "yes his name is Ace and he misses you a lot." He said looking down at the picture in her hand. "that picture in your hand…that's us at my apartment…Lance and Courtney were with us."
"Who are they?" Sara asked looking at him confused. "they are your best friends…you and Courtney are like sisters…you do everything together….I can take you to meet them if you want." Josh said hoping she would agree. She stood there silent for a while then looked at Ryan and Gina. "if what he is saying is true then…I think you should go with him…but it's your decision to make." Ryan said with a small smile of approval. "we want you to be happy…perhaps this might help you remember more about what u had forgotten in the last 5 months…but it's your decision…we won't force you to do anything okay dear. "It's okay…if you don't remember me then it's fine….but I will try my best to help you remember who you are lizzy." Josh said in a heartbreaking tone. It made her sad. She felt her chest hurt seeing him sad. Please…don't call me lizzy…I-I don't know that name…my name is Sara Evans….that's the only name I know." She said walking over to Ryan and Gina. "These two people…helped me so much…when they found me…I was dying…they took care of me and kept me safe all this time…I'm not going to abandon them….even if I don't have my memories…it's comforting to know that there are many people who care about me and I'm okay with that….I'm not going to rush this….I'm staying here with them…it's where I belong….if my memories come back one day then, I'll still be by their side….Josh…that's your name right…please understand…I'm not doing this to hurt you or anyone…I just need time to figure out all of this…its all new to me…I don't know when my memories will return….or if it would ever…but I'm not going to throw away the life I made with these people…they are my family now…I'm sorry!"
Tears fell from her eyes as she looked at Josh who stood there pained. Hearing her say this broke his heart even more. She had forgotten everything about him and her friends and her family. She was a different person. She wasn't the girl who was madly in love with him anymore. She was someone else entirely. All he wanted was to get her back but after hearing what she said he understood completely. He decided to push his feelings aside and try a different approach. With a smile he looked at her and then to Ryan and Gina. "Alright Lizzy…I understand an I'm not going to pressure you or force you to come home with me…what you said is absolutely right. And that's the girl I fell for…you always did the right thing…even now…so I'm not going to fight you on this…I respect your decision." He said turning to leave. Gina and Ryan looked at Sara as she wiped the tears from here eyes. She felt her heartbeat in her chest louder and faster as she watched him walk away from her. She turned around to go back into her room holding the door as a sharp open rushed through her body. And more tears fell from her eyes. Josh slowly opened the door and walked unto the porch. Ryan and Gina followed him. He stood there looking up at the stars feeling Ryan's hand on his shoulder. "She loves looking at the stars." Just told him.
"Don't worry she will be safe here…we will take care of her." Ryan said. "I'm sorry Josh….I'll go and check on her…take care of yourself okay." Gina said patting his hand as she walked back into the house to Sara's room. She was about to open the door but stopped when she heard her crying. She couldn't bear to see her like that she walked into the room and hugged Sara tightly. "I don't know why I'm crying…I just feel a pain in my chest…I don't know him but I feel hurt when I saw him sad….I want to believe what he said…but I don't remember Gina…why can't I remember him…look at this picture…it's us happy…so why…why can't I remember this moment with him….is life this cruel?" She cried. Gina sat and held her. "I know your hurting my dear…it's just the way life is….don't cry….please just close your eyes and try not to think about it….when the time is right…you will remember what your supposed too." Gina said trying her best to comfort her.
Outside Ryan sat with Josh as they both drank scotch and stared at the stars. "give her time Josh…she is confused rightnow…but she will come around…you just have to start a new friendship all over again." Ryan said lighting a cigarette and taking a sip of scotch. 'It's my fault…I couldn't protect her…everything happened so fast…and I don't know if you noticed but she has a mind of her own…once she makes a decision…then there's no going back….that's one of the reasons I love her so much…she's incredible and I'm not going to loose her…if she cant remember who I am then I'll make her." He said drinking the scotch and pouring another. "that's the spirit…don't give up on her….find a way." Ryan said raising his glass as the door opened behind them. Gina walked out with two blankets in her hand. "It's pretty cold…here I brought you this." She sad handing them the blankets. Both guys took the blankets and wrapped it around them. "how is she?" Ryan asked as Gina sat beside him. "not good…she cried herself to sleep….she doesn't even know why she's crying…she told me she felt hurt seeing Josh sad…and I believe her."
"You do?" Josh asked. "yes….the way She was crying…I felt my heart break too…no one can ever be that way....unless they care for someone so much….she cares for you a lot. She said. "how do you know that?" Josh asks again. Gina looked down at the bottle of scotch and to the glass in Ryan's hand. Nodding, She smiled Taking her husband's glass and pouring a drink. She swirls the glass in her hand then drinks it. "it's not just about the way she was crying or what she felt…it's what she said….she was so hurt and confused…it's like she wants to remember you…she showed me the picture. And seeing how happy you both were in the picture made her cry even more…she said she wants to remember 6that moment…but she can't…and she is hurting because it pains her to see you sad Josh….and she doesn't know why…it's the truth." Gina said pouring another drink into Ryan's glass. Josh sat there thinking about Liz, he looked at the stars and smiled to himself. "I'm not giving up…I will make her remember everything about herself and about us….she means everything to me an I'm not goin to let her go so easily...that's a promise." He said taking a drink.
They sat for hours out on the porch and it was getting late. Josh looked at his phone and stood up. "I should get going…it's late and I have to visit my dad in the hospital tomorrow… thank you both for all you've you for Liz…it means a lot…I really should be getting home now." Josh said about to shake Ryan's hand. "Nope…your not going anywhere…it's pretty late….so your staying here tonight in our guestroom...I wont take no for an answer." Ryan argued with Josh until he agreed to stay. "Thank you." Josh said as he followed them back into the house. They showed him to the guestroom where he showered and had gotten a change of clothes from Ryan. Gina went over to Sara's room to check on her. She then came back to the living room and met Ryan and Josh. "She's still asleep….you should get some rest too okay." She said to Josh as she dragged Ryan off with her. "see you in the morning!" Ryan said waving his arm. "See ya!" Josh said as he walked into the guestroom and shut the door. He laid on the bed staring up at the ceiling thinking about Liz. "goodnight my love!" he whispers closing his eyes and falling into a deep slumber.☺
