Catherine
"H-hi," I stutter.
I'm still nervous! I don't know what happened.
Why I'm here? There are so many questions in my mind that cause me a headache all of a sudden!
"How are you, Catherine?" The CEO asks.
"I'm fine, thank you," I answered awkwardly.
"Let me introduce myself. I am Kaito Takahashi. Vincent's grandfather," he offer his hand while I'm about to faint!
What did he say? He is Vincent's grandfather?!
"That means?" I ask blankly.
"That means that Vincent is my grandchild." He answered laughing.
I sighed deeply trying to relax my self. I should have asked him why he wanted to talk to me.
Right!
"Oh, It's unexpected and I didn't know!" I answer truthfully.
Maybe he will offer me a large amount of money to leave Vincent?!
What am I thinking?
"Yeah, I'm sorry to surprise you. I need to intervene in Vincent's personal affair." Mr. Takahashi said.
I think I understand now. Why he wants to talk to me?
"Don't worry Mr. Takahashi. I'm not after Vincent's money and wealth. I didn't even know that he's the grandchild of the CEO." I explain.
"I think that we have some misunderstanding in here." He said smiling.
He is still smiling! And it looks creepy to me!
"We should sit down first and let's talk. I have something to offer to you." He said and gestured his hand towards the table.
There's a big umbrella over the table. It's like we're having a picnic on the beach.
But I know that the worst is coming!
"I hope you will accept this offer, Catherine. You are the only hope of the Takahashi Family." He begins.
And it's like...
What?!
What is he saying?
How come that I'm the only hope of their family?
It's confusing!
"I don't understand Mr. Takahashi. I'm confused!" I said honestly.
"Here, read this offer of mine. And tell me if you agree. But I beg for you to agree," he said and gave me an envelope.
I opened it and saw a contract. An agreement contract!
I read it while my hands are shaking.
"A marriage contract?" I ask out of a sudden.
"Yeah, I want you to marry Vincent. You are the only one who can give him an heir." He explains.
But I still don't understand!
"Why me? I thought that you wanted me to leave Vincent. Am I wrong?" I'm still confused and asking nonsense questions.
"No! I will never do that Catherine! I want you to marry him and have some kids before I die." Mr. Takahashi said bitterly.
"Are you dying?" I ask again.
"No! But I'm getting old. I want Vincent to settle down before I die and see my little grandchildren from him." He answers while imagining those little kids that he loves.
"But, Why me? Is it because of our relationship now?" I don't know why I keep on asking.
I'm still shocked by the sudden turn of events.
"I don't know if I will tell you this but this is the only way for you to understand. Why did I choose you? Right?" He asks.
I just nodded my head. I'm speechless at the moment.
"It's because you are the only one who can make him hard," he answers.
And his words are like a bomb that hit me!
I thought that Vincent was only joking about this matter. But it turns out to be true!
But why me?!
"Grandpa! What are you doing?!" Vincent suddenly appears out of nowhere.
He looks pissed off and approaches us.
"Catherine, Are you okay?" He asks.
I just nod my head. I can't speak as of the moment.
Vincent look at the contract that I'm holding. And he grabs it from me.
He read it and then tore it apart into tiny pieces.
"Grandpa, Why did you do that?" Vincent asks angrily.
His grandpa massages his forehead while thinking about what to say.
"I want you to have a happy family before I'm gone." Vincent's grandfather said as if he was leaving in this world!
Sounds creepy but that's what I understand from him.
"You're thinking bad again! Nothing will happen to you, Grandpa! You are alright and healthy. It's only in your mind that you are being paranoid!" Vincent shouted.
I don't know why I'm still here but I have nowhere to go. It's like I'm turning between two large mountains.
I can't walk out because I don't know where I am and I can't see the yacht. I can't go back on my own!
"I just want you to be happy! And Catherine is the only one who can help us to continue our bloodline." His grandpa insists.
"I can have an heir without marriage! You know that I can't forget her! I can't marry another woman!" Vincent shouted angrily.
And his words hit my heart like a sharp knife!
It hurts!
That means that what we both shared is only Lust.
Only sex!
I want to cry right now but I can't!
I thought that he liked me but reality hurts the most!
Slapping my face to wake up from the dream that I picture in my mind.
Me and Vincent together forever?
Haha! There's no such thing!
"That Angela is a gold digger! She's not good for you!" Mr. Takahashi said angrily.
Gold digger? That's the woman Vincent likes?
"Let's stop talking about her. I will not defend her because you will always insist. Just let her have peace wherever she is!" Vincent answer.
"My decision is final! Catherine is the right woman for you." His grandpa still insists.
I think that they forget that I'm still here!
"I will not get married, Grandpa. And that's final too!" Vincent shouted.
He is so angry. Am I the worst that he didn't like to marry me?
"Excuse me, I'm still here listening. Thanks for the offer Mr. Takahashi but I don't agree with it." I couldn't help myself from interrupting them.
"Ah, Vincent. You don't have to get wild as if I'm so distasteful for you. Don't worry, I will not marry you." I said with a broken heart.
I mean, we just had sex yesterday then all along, he didn't even like me a bit!
He likes me as his sex object!
That's the saddest reality that I need to face.
Especially now I know that he's rich. He will never look at me unless with lust in his eyes.
And it hurts!
I walk out and don't know where to go. I just walk far away from them.
But I can still hear them!
"Look at what you've done Vincent!" His grandpa is shouting angrily.
I don't want him to get angry. I think that it's bad for his health.
"I told you that I don't want to get married but you will always insist!" Vincent answer.
"You can't say no Vincent. Tomorrow, You will get married!" Mr. Takahashi said with finality.
And I felt scared all of a sudden!
What does he mean by that? He will force Vincent to marry me?
What about me? I hope that he can consider my feelings!
"And that's bullshit!" Vincent shouted.
I need to walk far away from here. I don't want to listen to them!
I want to go home all of a sudden!
I run and reach the seashore. I can't see their yacht!
What to do now?
"Can we talk?" I almost fainted when I heard his voice.
I don't want to turn around!
But we should talk it out!
"Sure," I answer without looking at him.
