DAY 9
Catherine
I followed him and we ended up near the beach. He's been watching the sea for a minute and I didn't bother him. I have nothing to say as of the moment. I am speechless!
It's been so long but he didn't speak at all!
"Will we keep on looking at the beach?" I asked to break the silence between us.
I heard him take a deep sigh.
"I'm sorry, Catherine." He said.
Finally he said sorry! But I don't want his sorry!
He's been fooling me for five years. It's as if he used me as his shield to hide his true self.
I know that his parents will never accept what happened today. His Dad is a retired military and has been hard on him since young. He didn't follow in his footsteps and took engineering.
But he suffered from military training from his dad personally.
It's a big chaos waiting for him when he goes back to the Philippines. But I don't know if he will go back or go with Fred!
Fred is an American but it's up to George. The decision is still in his hands.
"Okay, I will accept your apology. And hoping for your happiness. Come to think of it, you never told me about your true self. You just used me for your own good!" I said trying to control my anger.
"I'm not using you for my own good! You know that my Father is very strict. He will not accept that his son is a gay!" He answers.
"What about now? The whole world knows about you being gay! And in front of live coverage. How will you explain it to your parents, especially to your father?" I asked.
"I'm tired of explaining. I'm an adult now but they won't let me go! Fred opened a new world for me. He gives me courage and strength to face the world! I don't care what people will say now! As long as we're together. I will not go back to the Philippines. I will stay with Fred from his little hometown." He seems determined and in love!
But what about me? He ruined my life and his life is now whole and lively! So good for him!
"Good for you then, what about me? You drag me into this mess! I loved you, that's why I supported you to participate in this kind of game. What now? I'm all alone here!" I said angrily.
"I'm sorry, Catherine. I didn't think that I would meet my soulmate here," he said, feeling in love.
And I felt cringe when I heard what he's saying!
I don't know why I'm so angry! But for me, It's unfair!
He's happy and I'm broken! It's very unfair.
I'm not ranting because I'm broken hearted and in love with him.
I think that I didn't love him, I like him because we both want to escape our family's values and strict family rules!
We found comfort and safety with each other. That's why our relationship lasted for five years.
I take a deep breath. There's nothing I can do but to accept the fact and let go of the past.
We need to put a closure to our five year relationship.
"Fine, there's nothing I can do but to accept all of these. I'm wishing to be happy, let's put closure and end our relationship as friends."
"Thank you, Catherine. I wish you all the best too. I know that you will find your soulmate too,"
I want to laugh! The hell with that soulmate! I'd rather be alone!
"Thank you. But for now, I don't believe in love and soulmate anymore."
"Don't be like that, Soulmate will come into our life in an unexpected way. Trust me, you will find yours!" He said excitedly.
"Okay, If that's what you think. I will be waiting for my soulmate. Good luck with your life."
"I'm glad that all is well between the two of us. It took me so long to tell you because I'm afraid. I'm sorry again,"
"I'm beginning to hate the word sorry George! Don't say it again. Go and your soulmate is waiting for you!"
Before he left, he whispered into my ear.
"My name is Georgia now," he said happily and walked away.
I laugh but no sound comes out.
George is very happy in love!
He's genuinely happy and his smile is telling her that he's very much in love!
I walk alone on the beach with my feet soaking in the sand. I took off my shoes and felt the touch of the sea.
Just like that, our relationship has ended...
I look around and it's like a paradise here. This Island is so beautiful but I don't think I belong here.
I need to quit and go back to my quiet and boring life.
I will go to the Manager's office to file a termination of my contract. I want to quit and don't like to participate.
There's no one inside?! I've been here for too long but nobody answers me.
I knock on the door again and it finally opens.
"Who are you?" A girl asked me.
She looks like a secretary.
"I'm Catherine, one of the participants. May I talk to your Manager?" I ask politely.
"The manager is not in here but the CEO is inside. He is talking to his grandson," she said.
Is it my luck to meet those rich people? I heard that the owner of this Game show is very rich!
"Can I talk to him? It's very important," I insist.
"I'm sorry Miss but I can't do that. We are not allowed to disturb the CEO. Just come back tomorrow and our manager will handle your matter." She explains.
But I'm already here! I don't want to go back!
"Can you give it a try, please!" I beg.
The girl shakes her head. I know that I'm stubborn and want to do what I like!
"Fine, let me try. But I will not guarantee that the CEO will talk to you," she reminded me.
I nod my head and she left me. It took her awhile to come back! Where is she?
I decided to go inside and look around. I nearly jumped when I heard a voice in my back!
"What are you doing here?" He asks.
I turn around and it's Vincent!
"What are you doing here?" I surprisingly asked.
"I'm asking you," he said seriously.
The Vincent in front of me is different from the Vincent I've known in the Billionaire's Temptation Game.
"Who is She?" An old man appears and asks.
"One of the participants," he answers coldly.
And I feel chills run down my spine.
"Oh, it's her?" The old man asked again.
"Yeah, I gotta go!" He answers and walks away.
"Nevermind him! Come, What can I do for you?" He asks politely.
"Oh, I'm waiting for the Secretary but she didn't come back. I want to talk to the manager but she said that he is not here. She will try to ask the CEO but I've been waiting for ages." I will explain.
"Hmmm, What can I do for you?" The old man asked.
"What? I mean, You are?" I was confused.
"I am the CEO of the Billionaire's Temptation Game." He answers with a smile.
What the Hell?!
