Chapter 22 - Chapter 22 - The Merger

"Hey, Sky, don't leave. If you want to leave, at least don't break the bond. I don't want to lose millions of CP." I wrote in a weak voice, but he refused to listen. I felt powerless. A Gamer with a hundred players on a friend list yet feeling helpless. Sounds depressing, right? It has to be if you take games too seriously.

"I am sorry, Yeol. I tried my best to put up with your CP. However, I am ashamed of not being a perfect match for you. I can't play anymore. Thanks for the hospitality you provided. Thank you, everyone, in the game for supporting me this whole year." Sky wrote with regret in his heart.

"Hey, Idiot, you know if you break bonds, she will lose all her stats obtained by love lock, don't you?" anguished Naru, commenting on my helpless situation.

"Well, Naru, it's no use. He made up his mind. I won't force him either." I wrote with a bit of self-confidence left inside after a big blow.

"Well, let that loser be Yeol. You can bond with my dummy to get all your power back." wrote Divya.

"That's so sweet of you, Divya. But I will stand alone now. I don't want my CP to drop again due to the stupid departure of well-committed players." I taunted Sky.

"Let's form a bond, Yeol. I am serious about it." wrote _ _ _ _ _ _.

"Wake up, Yeol. It's a bright morning, perfect for starting your yoga classes."

"Mom, yes. I'll be there in five minutes." My mother's yelling woke me up. In a flash, I awoke from a nightmare. Those bittersweet days in my life were a beautiful phase in my existence.

*7 Months before*

It's been 7 hours since our guild leader left. That was a sudden decision she took. However, she did play her last part of being a leader. She recommended all the active players of Glory to Legacy. So, we would be able to be a part of the active guild and would even grow together. She even helped weak players by providing them with gear. She left for good.

Anyways, hello, everyone, Here we are with my tale. There are fewer sugars and more spice in this tale. It's morning seven, and I can't sleep anymore. Going on board in gaming is all I could think of, and that's what I would do.

"Good morning, everyone." I tried to make the world chat lively.

"Good morning, Yeol. Have you decided on whether to join Legacy or not?" Elegant inquired.

"I am ready to merge our guilds, Mr. Elegant," I replied with positive energy. Our players will take a big step forward with this merger of guilds. The Legacy even has a higher gear in its warehouse. That would be beneficial for weak players who don't go gear hunting. I suppose.

*In DM*

'Hey, Yeol, have you decided on joining our Guild?' it was from Naru.

Naru was a person who was enthusiastic when it came to making new friends, and we had an innocent fellowship, much like the pair of pure white swans. However, Naru was unique, both in terms of friendship and critics. He provided me with feedback that was so correct that I couldn't deny it. He has a wealth of life and gaming experience. I likened our circumstance to a lock and key. We stayed together and assisted each other in whatever way we could to get to the top of the leaderboard. Maybe I was the lock here because every time I encountered an issue, my 'key' Naru would solve it immediately.

"Yes, I have been thinking of joining as our guild hardly has five members active," writing with a fascination of making a new friend.

"Indeed, join us. I will help you with gears, and we can hunt for G7 gears together. It would be fun to work together."

"Why are you looking for G7? Your G6 gear set is not yet completed," I commented on her incomplete gear set as I glanced through her character ID. Damn, technically, it's him, even if he is the female in-game character.

Using a female in-game character was notable for guys into gaming because they felt that no girls would be playing online games. However, it's just a myth nowadays. More and more female players are actively in gaming tournaments and streaming. They prefer gaming just like usual male characters.

"Well, I am already standing at level 310. So by the time I complete my G6 set, I would be standing at level 340, which is enough to equip G7 gears. So why not hunt for G7 directly? I will give you my G6 gears as your level is still low." she made a point in PM.

After listening to his points, I wish I was that smart. He got some great strategies to grow in-game. Not just for a temporary spot on leader board. However, he was thinking of getting a permanent one. That opened my eyes and motivated me to look at long-term goals rather than worrying about trivial matters.

Without further delay, I bounced back to PM and replied to his previous message," Surely, let's get started without a deadly duo of hunting gears."

"You seem pretty excited, hahaha! For that, you will have to join our guild first, remember?" he wrote with a wishful consent of paring up.

"Surely, let me discuss with everyone in my guild, and we will join The Legacy soon." I wrote with an ending note.

*In Guild chat*

I wrote reluctant, "Hey everyone, would you like to join hands with The Legacy guild?"

"I would certainly want to join," wrote Manami.

"Hmm...me too. If you all are moving out, why would I stay alone in the guild?" - Loki.

"Exactly, let us all move to The Legacy. I also want to be with my partner in the same Guildhall." Manami wrote with enthusiasm.

"You all leave. I am staying here." Saki wrote. That gave a big blow of tension. Suddenly the gleeful air and delightful atmosphere turned into a chilly one. A spine-chilling atmosphere, to be honest.

"Why won't you join us, Saki?" I wrote, raising the question of her sudden cold attitude. Saki may not be the center of attraction of our guild, but she was indeed a person whom we consider a family member. She had a remarkable growth of 20K CP within just two days. She was talented and warm-hearted as far as I knew her. She was a lady in her twenties with a wrinkle-free smooth texture face crafted with beautifying characteristics. I adored her beauty. She was Indian and was pretty introverted when it came to talking in guild chats. She never even got into a heated conversation with any players. That was the first time I saw her refusing any demands. I was curious to know about the reason behind this attitude.
