Chapter 63 - Ji Qing's Desire

"Not really, Master only gave me a physical training exercise schedule, and he told me to practice as many martial arts as possible, claiming that perhaps they would loosen my body and finally allow me to advance further." Ji Min answered as Ji Tang and Ji Fang nodded whilst Ji Wang simply sighed in loss.

"Alright then; I have decided; we'll use Master Lao's physical training routine; you can give the details to Fang, he would take care of everything." Ji Tang concluded.

"In addition to that, I will also have him include the ancient training method of our Ji Clan." Ji Tang declared as the eyes of his sworn brothers widened in horror.

"Brother, what do you mean?"

"Are you trying to kill the kid after he just recovered?!" Ji Wang and Ji Fang blurted respectively.

Not many people knew about the Ji Clan's ancient training methods, but those who did understand how dangerous it was; even to the adult experts of the clan, not to talk of Ji Min who is just a seven-year-old kid.

"Grandpa, what is the ancient training method of the Ji Clan, and why are my uncles so fearful of it?" Ji Min's curiosity was once again showing itself.

"Don't worry about that; the vital part of the training method relies on your ignorance about its existence." Ji Tang added as Ji Wang and Ji Fang tried to convince Ji Tang to reconsider his outrageous decision.

"Brother, though we can't deny the effectiveness of the Old Ways, I would like to remind you that we have lost two hundred members since we began three months ago." Ji Fang protested.

"None amongst our direct bloodline members ever died to the Old Ways; it is impossible that Min'er who is even more talented than all of us would lose his life to it."

Ji Tang replied casually, but the level of confidence oozing from his tone was evident to everyone that he wouldn't be changing his mind.

"So it is decided; Min'er you shall start your training tomorrow, and I will personally oversee your progress." Ji Tang informed as Ji Min simply nodded.

Then just as they were about to conclude the matter, Ji Qing suddenly stepped forward and gave bowed respectfully to Ji Tang.

"Family Head, may I speak?" She asked as Ji Fang frowned at her audacity.

It is common culture or ethics within the entire main clan that kids were not allowed to take the initiative to offer their thoughts on a matter being discussed amongst the older generation members, except they were being called upon.

He was about to step in to drag Ji Qing and give her a good scolding when Ji Tang gestured for him to stay seated.

"It is better you all know now, that once we succeed in our missions, I'll be changing many of the existing rules." He said as the Ji brothers sighed and relaxed into their seats.

"Qing'er, I want you to know that you can always come to me with any matter that disturbs you; if everyone else is unwilling to listen to you, I want you to always know that I would always lend you a listening ear." Ji Tang said slighting Ji Fang who simply gave another sigh.

"You are truly magnanimous, Family Head." Ji Qing said as she bowed once again.

"Eh? I thought we already decided that you can start calling me grandpa from now on?"

Ji Tang responded with a fake surprise and teasing smile whilst Ji Qing simply blushed furiously before bowing even lower, using her clasped arms to shield her furiously blushing face.

"You're too magnanimous, grandpa." She echoed, seemingly releasing her embarrassment through her words.

"Eh?"

Ji Min was stunned by the situation, and he began to feel as if he had missed a very important matter that might also have some sort of effect on him than the three brothers were thinking.

Ji Tang heard Ji Min's explanation and gazed at him; then his eyes fell on the band on his hand and he chuckled amusingly.

"You may speak now, Qing'er." Ji Tang spoke as everyone else in the room spotted the change in howhe addressed Ji Qing.

The Ji brothers simply sighed and shook their heads at Ji Tang's shamelessness; whilst they wouldn't mind his proposition, they did feel it was unfair that Ji Min who was involved in the matter was about to get the short end of the stick.

"Grandpa, I would also like to join Brother Min in his training sessions." She abruptly declared.

"Y-you!" Ji Fang almost suffered a stroke when he heard his daughter's request.

Ji Min, Ji Wang, and Ji Tang were also taken aback by her request and it was very evident from the expressions currently plastered on her face.

What nobody knew was that Ji Qing's only role model or mentor was Ji Rou; Ji Min's mother. She truly respected everything about the lady; she was talented and very strong, easygoing and doting.

She had been secretly training with Ji Rou ever since she was little, and when she died, Ji Qing vowed to herself that she would become the strongest expert within the clan so that she would never have to lose those who were close to her once again.

She had once lost her mother, and when Ji Rou came into her life, she ensured that she played the role to perfection, and thus, losing Ji Rou was a very serious blow she had yet to recover from, which was why the bully of the Southern Ji Family had become docile.

Ji Fang; her father, had tried to help her move on, but instead, she had decided to begin cultivating like a bull on a rampage, using it as an excuse to escape her agonizing reality.

She developed a belief that her father and Ji Tang were incompetent, and that was why they had allowed her to lose the only two beings who she loved the most in her life.

She then decided to take matters into her own little hands, creating a belief within herself that there was nothing men could do that she couldn't match or even surpass; and it was this mentality that had brought her to the Peak of Qi Gathering Stage, just a step away from entering the Qi Sea stage.

Thus, when she heard that Ji Min was going to be involved in a training routine that would make his strength soar; of course, she was also going to use it to overcome her impetus and break into the Qi Sea stage.
