[Save the 3rd Princess of Rosewood Kingdom | Legendary Quest]
[Legendary (Completion: S)]
[Quest Reward]
[Reward: +15 Levels, 5 gold pieces, and +50 Trust with the 3rd Princess of the Rosewood Kingdom]
'Holy shit! 15 levels for running away while carrying a princess on my shoulder is not bad. That is amazing that she is the 3rd princess and was able to trigger a legendary quest. Maybe it has something to do with her identity as a priest as well.' Looking over the dazed princess this was all Isaias could think of as he looked over her exposed rosy face.
'I also don't know too much about this class quite yet, especially after almost getting impaired and stupidly flirting with a princess, so I should just keep the stat points to myself and use them later when I figure out more about my abilities. Now, what to do with the princess we can't just stay here with her lying on the floor in the alleyway like this. People may get the wrong idea if they look in to see a woman with her robes all loosened up and I am standing over her. Especially since she looks drunk.' Rather worried now I began to crouch down and attempt to wake up the princess.
"Princess....princess. We should get up and get someone to come tend to your wounds." Isaias whispered to the exhausted princess still sprawled against the wall of the alleyway.
Looking up slightly dazed and with her puffy red cheeks, she pulled out a potion from the air and slowly began consuming it beneath her tattered veil.
The scratches and exhaustion faded away from her body at a very visible pace, but her cheeks remained visibly rosy as she could not look up at the young man standing over her.
'A storage ring! Those things are incredibly rare no kidding this woman must have a high position in both the kingdom and Holy Order. Now that I think about it why was it trust and not any reputation for the reward?' Thinking to himself while staring down at the woman Isaias became a little confused.
"Are you going to keep just staring at me or are you going to help me get up?" The princess whispered as she noticed the pair of eyes staring at her. Her cheeks started to burn up thinking back to their escape and how she had been holding onto him out of fear and did not know why she was so nervous now just having him look at her.
"Ah yes. Is there any way for you to contact anyone to safely come and get you? Your clothes seem to be a bit worn out, and shouldn't you have some guards around here somewhere waiting for you?" Isaias gave a wry smile at the loose clothing of the princess that allowed him to see the top of her snowy white mounds then looked away pretending not to have seen anything.
Looking down at herself realizing half her veil was torn apart and her robes were largely open revealing the skin underneath. She quickly covered herself with her hands and then turned her body using the wall to cover more of herself.
"Don't worry princess I think we are a bit past all of that. We almost died together a few minutes ago, so I think a little skin will not be any deadlier for us." Isaias replied to the actions of the princess trying to lighten the mood of the princess afraid if she was put off, she may have people kill him for taking advantage of her.
"Shut up and go guard the entrance to the alleyway so I can change into something more appropriate so we can get out of here!" The princess motioned Isaias to turn around and leave towards the entrance of the alleyway.
….....
'Man, it has already been 10 minutes what is taking her so long? She can't be in danger, can she? Could the Crocosaur have escaped and come back up through the entrance? Should I go check on her? But if I turn and she is still getting changed then there is no doubt in my mind that she will have me killed or worse imprisoned' About to turn around Isaias felt a small hand placed on his shoulder. Looking back over his shoulder he could see a figure in a black cloak and veil standing behind him.
"Are you ready to go?" The same clear and tender voice from before struck Isaias's ears recalling the beautiful princess from before. Now hidden underneath a veil and cloak.
'To think no one will be able to see the beauty hidden underneath such a simple cloak and veil.' Isaias could not help shaking his head at the cloaked figure next to him.
"Yes, let us get you back."
The unusual pairing of a cloaked NPC and a newbie player drew a lot of attention from the other players who seemed to be walking around exploring the starting area of the town.
Continuing till the pair arrived at the town hall the Princess walked up to a counter on the far edge of the building usually reserved for nobles. Isaias still following behind the princess noticed the princess pull out some paperwork and an emblem from her storage ring handing it to the small blue-haired lady behind the counter.
Observing the emblem and paperwork the young lady began to smile at the cloaked princess.
"Yes, how may I help the Princess today?"
"I need to speak to the town mayor about the reexamination of a commission's grade and reward."
"Right away princess please follow after me. May I also ask if this young man is with you? As you know only qualified personnel is allowed onto the second floor."
"Yes, I know. This is my escort so he will accompany us." The princess chuckled as she looked over at Isaias standing next to her who seemed to be rather shocked by her words.
'Escort? When did I ever agree to be her escort? Whatever this is not the time to challenge her words this can be a good opportunity to meet the mayor and get further ahead of everyone else who is still out looking for beginner quests.'
Isaias nodded at the princesses' words seeming to confirm them for the blue-haired young lady.
"If that is the case then you may both follow me up to meet the mayor. He is in his office."
The female clerk moved out from behind the counter heading to a stairwell that was being guarded by two NPCs one was a large man clad in steel armor holding a large wooden spear with a shiny green tip and a woman holding a red staff adorned in a blue robe. The pair guarding the entrance to the stairwell scanned over the party of two who were being led by the clerk. After checking the paperwork and emblem of the princess the two nodded to the clerk allowing her to pass upwards.
The second floor of the town hall looked rather bare besides the abundance of water that was being circulated down the walls of the second floor's walls creating the effects of waterfalls seemingly moving downwards and towards a particular room. Being led to the door the clerk motioned out to it.
"Here we are. The mayor is aware you are here princess, so you both may enter right away." The three people now stood in front of the wooden door into which all the water was being funneled.
The hooded princess nodded at the clerks' words grabbing at the handle to the room and readily stepping inside the doorway. After the pair entered the room a shocking scene of books floating in water bubbles around the room came into view.
"Mayor Weskale." The princess called out.
All of the books stopped in midair and began to fall slowly to the ground as the chair started to turn to face the doorway. A small bald man came into view as he held a book in his hands looking through a large pair of silver glasses that seemed to hug onto his square face as his eyes seemed to be glued to the pages of the book.
'A dwarf was the mayor of this town? I never knew as it is rather rare for there to be a dwarf to take up any type of magic other than fire. They usually take up the mantle of craftsmen or train to be knights to increase their strength which they would also use for crafting weapons.' Isaias began to analyze the dwarf sitting on the chair ahead of him. The character information that appeared was rather scary as it all read in bright red letters.
[Garen Weskale Level 115 | Water Mage (Dwarf) | Mayor of Klawrence Town]
[Stats:?
Abilities:?
Trust: 0]
'Weird he is a rather high level to be just overseeing this town. That combined with being a rare dwarf water mage makes his appearance here rather odd.'
"Yes, princess. What can I do for you today?" Mr. Weskale called out as his eyes never left the large book that was in his hands.
"The quest you commissioned to the Holy Order needs to be re-examined. There is an Emperor Crocosaur that lays beneath your town." The princess spoke nonchalantly as if the appearance of an emperor-classed monster was not a big problem.
*Shhpt*
The book in Mr. Weskale's hands fell onto the desk as he became affixed to the figures of the pair a couple of feet from him.
"An emperor creature you say. What element?"
"It is a mutated element. The plague element which would barely qualify it for emperor status at such a low level."
Mr. Weskale's face suddenly changed to become slightly darker after hearing the element of the monster.
"Thank you, princess. I will investigate this matter myself and reexamine the grade of the commission for the Holy Order and pay any compensation for any losses accumulated due to the miss grading." The small Mr. Weskale hopped out of his large seat walked over and took the paperwork from the princess then headed back to his seat to begin reading the paperwork.
"The Holy Order will send someone to collect compensation in a couple of days." The princess responded.
"If I may. I must go check the situation of the water supply, so I will not be able to see you two out." Mr. Weskale dissolved into his chair turning into a small water puddle as all the water that was once carrying the books around merged back together and then sunk into the floor.
"That was interesting. I have never seen a dwarven water mage before." Isaias said still in a daze from watching the dwarf use such an ability to leave.
"The world is bigger than you can imagine you just haven't seen much of it yet." The princess responded with a slight smirk.
'Little does she know I have seen most of this kingdom already and anywhere you go a dwarven water mage would still be rather rare.'
"Well, I have to return to the Royal Capital now. If you would like you can come back with me?"
"Come back with you princess? What does that mean?" Isaias put on a rather curious expression as he stared at the princess.
"Ahhh no I meant to come back with me, and you could train to be one of my guards. You will have a good environment to grow and become stronger as you are still very young." The princess's said as her voice came out rather shakily.
'Still young huh.' Isaias mentally shook his head.
"I am sorry princess, but I will have to decline," Isaias responded shaking his head.
"What why? It is a very good offer for someone like you who is still young, and I can even look over you for saving my life. I will not mistreat you!" A shocked voice came from underneath the tattered veil of the princess.
"I know it would be easier on myself to follow you and get stronger faster but looking back at my life now. I am a little disappointed in myself. I feel like I have always been following other people. I was told what to do and how to act even when it came to my family. This time I need to do things for myself but thank you, princess. I am afraid I cannot accept your kindness. I know you may not understand what I am trying to say. I am just venting." Isaias rubbed his head a little embarrassed about the sudden declaration of his rather melodramatic past.
"I understand more than you think not even princesses are saved from having such pasts. If you are ever in the royal capital come and find me. I at least owe you a meal for saving my life and I won't take no for an answer on this one." The princess turned around throwing a small golden pendant over her shoulder and reaching out his hands Isaias caught it.
"Show this to any guard in the capital and they will show you where to find me. Good luck. I look forward to how much you can grow." Waving back over her shoulder as she disappeared down the stairs.
"I look forward to seeing you again too princess," Isaias said under his breath watching the departing figure.
If Isaias could see under the veil of the departing figure, he would have seen the light smile of the princess as she heard his words to her.
'I wonder if all special missions are this extreme. In my last life usually, there were no special missions as guilds usually had scouts check out dungeons before attempting them. Which must have eliminated thousands of opportunities if they were like this. Anyways it seems like I have to go out and learn some more about this class, so we don't end up in that same situation again.' Isaias thought to himself as he exited the town hall heading towards the town's market to buy some items with his newfound wealth.
