Aiden calmed his heart and said loudly, "Let's talk if you have something to say. I didn't ruin your traps on purpose. I can't possibly be courting death by stepping into your trap, right? It was all an accident!"
"Accident? I clearly saw you running into my trap directly. Do you think you can make an excuse, and I'll let you go?"
Aiden frowned. He wanted to say that traps are meant to be hard to see, but this person clearly had a different opinion. It was pointless to argue, so Aiden took a deep breath and responded, "Fine, believe what you want. But what do you plan to do now? Keep me here forever because of an 'accident'?"
Saying this, he leaped, stepping firmly on the ground. Then he lowered his body, gathered all his strength, and shot out like a bow released from its string. With lightning speed, he struck the young man's body!
"Bam!"
The young man was caught off guard, forced back a few steps. He was not a novice. Although he was forced retreat, he still reacted immediately and caught hold of Aiden. Then, with surprising strength, he hurled Aiden into the air.
Aiden flew backward, crashing into a tree with a loud "bang".
He groaned in pain before struggling slowly to get back on his feet.
As he raised his head, his eyes fell on the roasted meat lying not far from him. The tempting aroma reached his nose again, but despite his hunger, he didn't move toward it.
Aiden shuddered suddenly when he felt the sharp, piercing gaze of the young man. He knew he wasn't a match for him. He got desperate. In the end, he extended a hand and shouted, "Enough! I told you I didn't mean to step into your trap, so stop pushing me. Besides, I'm starving and don't have any strength left. Is it fair for you to mistreat me like this?"
The young man froze at Aiden's words, then clenched his teeth, eyes cold. "Fine! Eat first. I'll beat you up after you fill your damn stomach!"
Aiden was taken aback.
Did he hear it right? The other party was actually letting him eat!
He was momentarily stunned before he hurriedly expressed his gratitude, saying: "Thank you!"
Then, he impatiently walked towards the roasted meat. Then he tore off another leg of the wild boar before wolfing it down. His eyes were red, as if he had not eaten anything in years.
Well, in one sense, it was true though.
From the moment he was abandoned by his father, he never had meat in his meal even once before. All he had eaten was vegetation brought by his mother.
When the young man saw how Aiden was eating, he held his forehead and sighed helplessly. He said: "Hey, slow down. You are acting as if someone is going to snatch the meat from you. No one will steal the roasted meat from you. Eat slowly and patiently."
Aiden subconsciously held back a little and slowed down his chewing speed. However, compared to a normal person, he was still eating much faster.
After a long while, Aiden alone finished two-thirds of the roasted boar. He was finally full. He patted his stomach and burped, feeling extremely satisfied.
"Are you full?" The young man glanced at him indifferently and began to twist his wrist, ready to beat him up.
Aiden immediately laughed bitterly when he saw this. He said: "Brother, I have not digested all the food I have eaten, can you wait for me to rest first?"
"Humph!" The young man clenched his fist and gritted his teeth as he shouted, "Rest? There is no need for that. I'll help you digest everything real quick."
Saying that, he suddenly leaned forward, took large strides, and directly punched straight toward Aiden's chest.
Aiden hurriedly stood up, his fists clenched tightly as he met the young man's iron fists head-on.
"Bam!"
The impact of their clash sent powerful airwaves rippling outward.
Aiden's strength was no match for the young man's. He was sent flying, his body crashing into the ground. Pain shot through his hands, and he could swear his fist bones had shattered. He screamed in pain and his whole body wracked with agony. The force of the blow churned his stomach, making him feel like he was about to vomit all the food he'd just eaten.
"Humph, I didn't expect your fist to be this strong. It actually didn't break. Come again!" The young man gathered strength, and then he stepped forward again.
Aiden had no choice but to dodge his attack this time. He knew he could not afford to take a direct hit.
But he was still unable to dodge, for the young man appeared in front of Aiden once again.
Another loud "boom" was heard, accompanied by the sound of bones breaking. The violent air current suddenly swept in all directions, completely sending Aiden flying.
He fell to the ground, smashing the earth until it caved in.
"Arghhh!"
Aiden clutched at his arm and screamed miserably as he rolled on the ground.
Fortunately, the young man no longer attacked him. Maybe he knew Aiden had reached his limit, he sat down without saying anything. From his face, he seemed to be waiting for Aiden to recover before beating him again.
After a long while, Aiden stood up, and the young man also stood up.
Aiden was ready to suffer again, but this time, the young man didn't attack. He just stared at Aiden for a while before sighing.
The anger in his eyes faded. Finally, he curled his lips and said, "Although I didn't use Star Energy, my physical strength is no less than a Level 6 Third-tier Star Warrior. I thought my body was strong enough but never thought that you would be able to withstand my attacks. Forget it, I don't want to beat you anymore. If this continues, then I might accidentally cripple you."
Aiden was finally relieved and felt some goodwill towards this youth. After all, though it was an accident, it is a fact that he offended this boy in the beginning by destroying his trap. And this youth still let him eat, treated him fairly, and did not launch a sneak attack.
He was thinking that if this young man threw out a few more of those terrifying bombs, he may have been finished.
"Thank you for your understanding. I apologize for accidentally destroying your trap." Aiden smiled, and asked curiously: "I wonder what your name is, and why would you be here alone?"
"Tch!" The young man waved his hand with disdain: "You don't need to know why I'm here. I'm called Lucas, what's your name?"
Aiden said indifferently: "My name is Aiden, Aiden Gray."
"Oh." Lucas casually replied before he sat on the ground and picked up the wooden thorns that had not been sharpened, continuing to polish them leisurely.
Curiosity flashed in Aiden's eyes. He was unable to guess where Lucas came from.
However, he had a good impression of Lucas. In his eyes, Lucas can speak boldly and frankly. This kind of person was carefree and open, obviously not some evil villain.
Moreover, he was also filled with curiosity about those terrifying objects that could overturn a piece of land by exploding. On earth, other than real bombs and some technological devices, he had never heard of a weapon being able to achieve such an effect.
Therefore, he took the initiative to express his goodwill. He smiled and sat in front of Lucas. A bright light could be seen flashing in his eyes as he questioned: "Lucas, earlier, what kind of weapon did you use to lay down that trap? That was too scary!"
Lucas didn't even raise his head as he continued to grind the wood. He curled his lips and said, "Even if I told you this, you wouldn't understand. After all, you are just a Level 2 Third-tier Star Warrior."
"But I'll still tell you that trap's name. It was called Explosion Runes."
Aiden was startled for a moment, and then he laughed bitterly with an ignorant face: "Runes? I have never heard of it before. What is it?"
"There are many professions in our world. Weapon Refiner, Pill Refiner, and Formation Master are three of those professions. The rarest among them all is Rune Master. Let's not talk about it in detail!" Lucas still did not raise his head and explained indifferently.
Aiden no longer asked about the Rune Master profession. He shifted to his main goal and tried to get to know some information about this world.
After talking to Lucas for a while, the ignorant Aiden comes to know a few things.
It turns out that this world is called Ecaz. Unlike Earth, Planet Ecaz is still in the initial stage of development in terms of science and technology. However, when it comes to Star Warriors and cultivation, Planet Ecaz far surpassed Earth.
It is no wonder why Aiden didn't see anything related to science and technology till now.
