As Aaron was speaking to Daiji about how he was making a horrible decision, something caught his attention. He looked up and saw a child falling from a great height. The child appeared to be a newborn, helpless and innocent.
However, Aaron didn't move to save the child. He watched as the child hit the concrete floor, splattering blood all around. Some of the child's blood landed on Aaron's face.
"Why didn't you save it?" Daiji said, looking absolutely furious.
"Wait for it," Aaron said coldly.
Moments later, the child that had fallen and died on impact began to transform. Its small, broken body morphed and twisted, becoming a grotesque Gifterian.
"So this is your god, huh? The dude you decide to glaze," Aaron said, his tone icy. "He's sure using honorable tactics."
Daiji's rage intensified, but there was a flicker of doubt in his eyes. Aaron continued, "You think you're serving some higher purpose, but all you're doing is helping a monster who has no qualms about using innocent lives as pawns. Is this really the world you want to create?"
The air was thick with tension as the transformed child-Gifterian snarled and lunged at Aaron. Without missing a beat, Aaron swiftly dispatched the creature, his movements precise and unyielding. He turned back to Daiji, eyes burning with determination.
Aaron watched as the Gifterian reverted to the appearance of a baby, a thoughtful look crossing his face. 'Oh, he's trying to frame me... how cute,' he thought, his eyes drifting toward the floating eyeball in the sky, undoubtedly a surveillance tool of Gifu's.
He then turned his attention back to Daiji, his expression calm but piercing. "Daiji... tell me," he began, his voice steady and firm, "do you feel like your mom would be proud of you right now?"
Daiji froze, the question hitting him harder than any punch. His eyes, still red with rage and confusion, wavered. Memories of his mother, her kindness, and her unwavering moral compass, flooded his mind. She had always taught him to do the right thing, to protect those who couldn't protect themselves, and to stand against evil, no matter the cost.
"Would she be proud of you for siding with a monster who uses innocent lives as bait?" Aaron continued, his tone unrelenting. "Would she be proud of you for giving up and supporting a cause that brings nothing but suffering and death?"
Daiji opened his mouth to defend his case, trying to rationalize his decisions. He talked about survival, the futility of resistance, and the power of Gifu. But Aaron's expression remained cold and unmoved, his eyes fixed on Daiji with a piercing intensity.
'I can't get through to him,' Aaron thought to himself. He had hoped to reach Daiji, to make him see reason, but it seemed that the man's delusions and fear had taken too strong a hold. Welp, he tried—guess Ikki would have to come in and fix everything.
As Daiji continued to spew excuses and lies, Aaron listened with growing impatience. Finally, he cut through Daiji's ramblings with a single question, his voice cutting through the air like a knife. "Would Hiromi be proud of you?"
Daiji froze, the name hitting him like a physical blow. Hiromi, his mentor and friend, the man who had always stood for justice and righteousness, who had never compromised his principles, even in the face of insurmountable odds.
Aaron stepped closer, his eyes never leaving Daiji's. "Would Hiromi be proud of you for giving up? For siding with a monster? For betraying everything he taught you?"
Daiji's expression wavered, the resolve in his eyes flickering. Memories of Hiromi's unwavering dedication to justice, his sacrifices, and his belief in Daiji flooded his mind. He had always looked up to Hiromi and always wanted to make him proud.
Daiji seemed to be thinking hard about Aaron's words, his eyes reflecting a turmoil of emotions. The doubt was there, growing like a crack in his facade. But in his distant chamber, Gifu noticed his pawn wavering. A malevolent grin spread across his face.
"My little toy is about to break....we can't have that around here," Gifu murmured. His voice was low but dripping with dark power. He reached out with his mind, sending tendrils of corruption to seep deeper into Daiji's thoughts, strengthening his hold.
Back on the battlefield, Daiji's expression shifted. The moment of clarity was abruptly snuffed out, replaced by a renewed darkness. His eyes glowed a more intense red, and his posture stiffened with a sudden, unnatural rigidity.
'welp guess Gifu got him' Aaron thought to himself as he watched Daiji lose himself in the sauce, that was pretty bad.
Daiji's face twisted into a cruel smile. "You think you can sway me with empty words?" His voice was now tinged with a dark, sinister edge. "Hiromi's ideals are nothing but foolish dreams. Gifu's power is absolute, and only through him can we achieve true peace."
The air crackled with an unseen tension as Aaron and Daiji faced off. Daiji, with his slender frame and piercing gaze, stood like a poised serpent, his calm facade belying the simmering rage within.
Daiji made the first move, his lithe body a blur as he dashed forward with uncanny speed. Aaron, eyes narrowed, sidestepped the attack with practiced ease. The impact of Daiji's strike against the ground sent tremors through the earth, a testament to his precise and deadly strength.
"Whoa there, big guy," Aaron quipped, his voice a light counterpoint to the pounding of his heart. "Let's not get too carried away, shall we?"
Daiji responded with a cold, calculated smile, his eyes glowing with a malevolent light. He pivoted gracefully, launching a series of rapid, precise strikes aimed at Aaron's vital points. Yet, Aaron was a blur of motion, a dancer dodging a snake's fangs. He flipped and twisted, using Daiji's own momentum against him. But something felt different this time. Each of Aaron's successful dodges, each well-placed kick, seemed to fuel Daiji's fury further.
A cold realization dawned on Aaron. This wasn't just rage fueling Daiji's power. It was something far more insidious – a cursed energy technique based on reversing fortune. The more "lucky" Aaron felt in dodging attacks, the stronger Daiji became.
"You're enjoying this, aren't you?" Daiji hissed, his voice a chilling whisper as he continued his relentless assault. "Every dodge, every strike... it's all feeding my power."
Aaron's eyes widened as the pieces fell into place. "So, that's your game. You get stronger the more I avoid you."
Daiji's smile widened, a sinister curve of satisfaction. "Exactly. You're only delaying the inevitable. Gifu's power is absolute."
"...so you can transfer your opponent's luck into damage....." Aaron said with a dumbfounded expression.
Daiji on the other seems stunned that he was able to get that from such a small scuffle.
"Who the fuck is the creator of this world, whoever wrote those power into this world is a dick, what kind of Gary sue ass power are those, like how the fuck is someone like Sakura supposed to fight against those reality-warping bullshit of a power," Aaron said screaming his lungs out to the sky.
This was Utter Bs, so the enemy rank went, Vail with the ability to get stronger every time he is cornered, Daiji with the fucking power of bullshit, that nurse woman with a bootleg Kamui, what else, Gifu biggest dick rider will have the ability to just imagine something and it will happen.
....
..
..
"Your ability doesn't activate if your opponent is just using skill and is not just getting lucky doesn't it" Aaron said as a grin appeared on his face. Daiji looked confident before saying "Why do you say that"
"Because I would have been put on a T-shirt if all the ass beating I gave you earlier could be reversed to me," Aaron said with a smile on his face as Daiji started to sweat.
"I am sorry about this Daiji it's nothing personal...I am just very pissed at how hard my job is" Aaron said cracking his knuckles.
As Daiji took a step back, Aaron opened his mouth and said "Don't worry I will be gentle, you won't be butt hurt..."
A/N Daiji power is a mix of the balance and the Antithesis of bleach for anyone wondering...yes it's busted, and yes Gifu gives those busted abilities out like they are candy.
Yes, Aaron will get his shit kicked in the fight, and yes he is being framed.
