Aaron left the room after opening that can of worms, letting Ikki deal with his problems himself like the grown adult that he was...yeah that was definitely the reason, he had no other reason other than this one.
As he left the room, Sakura gaze went to Ikki she approached her big brother before saying "What contract"
Ikki was seen fidgeting around a bit, he did not expect Aaron to reveal such a thing to his siblings like that, he wanted to keep it a secret for a while longer.
He didn't want to have them worry about him.
He was the eldest in his mind, he was the one in care of bearing all the burdens not his siblings, his mindset was kind of selfish like that.
"Humm, nothing" Ikki said trying to avoid the question as much as it was humanly possible to.
"Ikki....what the contract" Sakura said staring daggers into her brother eyes, her expression seems to have gotten way colder than usual.
She felt as if her brother was hiding something from her, she needed to know what it was, Daiji on the other hand seem to be looking at a certain pair of photos.
His eyes had followed Aaron has he had left the bathhouse and that led his gaze to look at their family pictures.
He noticed that quite a few of them were missing.... something was wrong.
"Nii-San, what is the contract" Daiji suddenly asked standing up, he felt like this was a serious matter.
Whatever the contract was, it forced Ikki to hide family pictures...this was not something you would catch Ikki doing all willy nilly.
They had to have been a reason why he started doing this and whatever that reason might be, all he knew was that it wasn't a simple.
Ikki noticing that he was cornered by his sibling sigh a bit knowing he would have to tell them the truth.
He didn't want to but now he was forced too, he was forced into a position where had no other choice but to tell the truth.
With a sigh, he opened his mouth before revealing the truth.
"I made a contract with Vice...which make it so that every time i use Vice power to battle, my memories get erased from my mind and it also affect the real world to some extent"
As Ikki said those words he lowered his eyes a bit as Sakura eyes ...this was what he was hiding, why didn't he tell them anything, why...
"Why didn't you tell us" Sakura said her voice shaking a bit, she wanted to hear his reasoning.
"I... knew if I did you guys would have been worried and I didn't want to burden you with this"
Ikki head hang lowed as those words left his lips.
Although, he couldn't see their face, he could make out what they looked like.
Suddenly he felt a punch land in his chest, the blow forced his body to fall on the floor, he winced a bit at the punch, it's kind of hurt.
As he looked up, he saw Sakura looking all frustrated with her hand ball up into a fist.
"Don't you trust us,"
The anger in her voice was present for anyone around to hear it, she felt frustrated, why didn't he tells them.
He wouldn't have to risk his memory like this.
"I tr-"
Before Ikki could finish speaking Daiji cut him off saying "If you did, you would have told us, we wouldn't to find out like this"
"How long were you planning on keeping this to yourself Ikki, were you going to let the act go on until you could barely remember your own family"
The frustration in Daiji voice was evident and Ikki felt ashamed in actions.
Vice tries to come in Ikki defense, but he was quickly shut down, he was seen sitting facing the wall with a bump on his forehead.
"Why can't you trust us" Sakura said as what seemed to be a single tear fell down his cheek.
Ikki could not really say anything in his defense, he could see it, he was being selfish right now.
He may have said that he trusted his siblings, but his actions spoke a different story altogether, every time he told them he trusted them to do something, he was always in the background making sure they were safe and if they were even a tiny bit hurt, he would try to do it by himself.
He didn't want to see them hurt, that was all, he had failed to realize that due to him wanting to bear all the responsibility, he did not give his siblings anytime to go.
He was being.... selfish.
His head hung low as he could feel his sibling anger at the situation, Daiji walked toward a room and three seconds later he came back with 5 family pictures in his hands.
In 4 of those pictures, Ikki was completely gone from them, even though he was sure Ikki was on those pictures before.
His eyes than landed on the fifth picture where he noticed that Ikki looked to be transparent.
"So, you gradually vanish from the pictures"
Ikki eyebrows raised at that, but he kept his head low saying "No....I just vanish from them"
"So, explain this"
Daiji said showing him the translucent picture, Ikki looked stunned a bit, he did not expect this at all, usually he would be fully gone from this picture, so why was he now translucent.
As he thought of why, Sakura eyebrow rose a bit.
A sudden memory appeared in the back of her mind.
The day Ikki was in that illusion an Aaron had placed his hand on Ikki head, was he?
What seemed to be a look realization dawned on Sakura face, he was slowing down the rate at which Ikki was losing his memories.
He was going on daily patrol exterminating any enemy before Ikki could fight them, in a sense he was making sure that Ikki barely fought in any battle while slowly down the rate at which he was losing his memory...
Daiji however was still seen questioning Ikki about it.... Sakura could say it, but she didn't feel like it, Ikki deserved the scolding, and she wouldn't interfere with it.
Though she does need to get stronger, now that Ikki won't be on the battlefield as much, she needs to get better.
A/N next few chapters are Igarashi related...more like related to the side cast.... Aaron will be...prepping yes let put it like that.
