Chapter 5 - Seeing Injustice (1)

***

After successfully avoiding the female main character, Yue Yan heaved a sigh of relief. She wouldn't become best friends with the female main character now, right?

A boy in the class wanted to help her sweep the floor. Yue Yan thought of the form teacher's half-smile and shook her head to reject him.

After a day of classes, Yue Yan felt that she could keep up with the progress. Fortunately, she had been tutoring junior high school students in university. Otherwise, she would have forgotten about this knowledge long ago.

The teacher only explained it once, but she already had an impression of it.

She nodded at the teacher as if she understood, making the math teacher notice her.

"Student, how do you think we should solve this question?"

Yue Yan looked around, as if the teacher was asking her a question.

Her deskmate, Yun Cheng, was taking a nap when he was woken up by the teacher's voice.

Yue Yan stood up and explained the process of understanding the equations. The teacher nodded in admiration. "Not bad. You learned very quickly. Please take a seat."

Yue Yan sat down calmly, ignoring the curious gazes from the students in the class.

The two people in the back row kicked Yue Yan's stool leg excitedly. Wang Hecui whispered, "Yue Yan, aren't you simply awesome? It's like I'm listening to an abstract book."

It was the same with her deskmate. He did not expect Yue Yan to be so amazing.

After Yun Cheng woke up from the shock, he rummaged through the table pocket and took out a handful of peanuts. "Do you want some?"

Yue Yan listened attentively and looked at the podium without turning back. "No, thank you."

She didn't want to interact with the male protagonist's underlings either.

Su Yu, who was sitting in the middle of the classroom, bit her lower lip and looked in Yue Yan's direction. She could not understand herself. How did that hillbilly from the countryside learn it after listening to it once?

Yue Yan thought that she could go home and stick to her mother after school. She had already packed her bag, but she received shocking and grievous news.

"We brought the fabric with us. We can go to your house to make the bows." Zhang Cuiping and the others giggled and huddled together. After saying that, they looked at Yue Yan.

Yue Yan could only agree reluctantly.

"My house is very small. Be mentally prepared."

Wang Hecui deliberately raised her voice. "Aiya, we don't care about family backgrounds when making friends."

Su Yu, who was packing her bag, paused. Cao Wenkai, who was beside her, asked, "What's wrong?"

She shook her head gently and said aggrievedly, "I'm fine. I just don't understand why Wang Hecui and the others are targeting me."

Cao Wenkai comforted her. "Don't argue with them. Their words are vulgar and they're like gossipers on the streets. No one will marry them in the future."

Su Yu was comforted by him and nodded weakly.

Yue Yan brought a few female classmates home and met Zhou Boyan, who was returning home from school.

School ended at the same time in high school. No.1 High School and No.2 High School were not far from where they lived.

When Zhou Boyan saw her, he smiled and said, "Yueyue, are you bringing your friends to our house as guests?"

Yue Yan said helplessly, "Yes, they're my new classmates."

Zhang Cuiping and the others fell silent when they saw Zhou Boyan.

When Zhou Boyan went upstairs, Wang Hecui couldn't help but say, "Your neighbor is really good-looking. What grade is he in?"

Yue Yan could not let them come into contact with Brother Xiaofei. "My brother is from No.1 Middle School. He's in his third year of high school."

Hearing that he was a student of No.1 High School, no one asked further.

It was already seven o'clock when the noisy female classmates left her house in satisfaction. Fortunately, it was only dark at eight in the summer.

Yue Yan went upstairs and told Zhou Boyan about her entrepreneurial plan. Zhou Boyan helped her check her homework.

"Yes, you're basically right. Yueyue is very smart."

Yue Yan put away her homework smugly. "Of course. I listened attentively in class!"

Zhou Boyan was worried that it was not safe for Yue Yan to buy the materials alone, so he reminded her, "If Yueyue wants to buy the materials, remember to call me along. Don't get scammed."

Yue Yan nodded heavily. "I will!"

Even if Zhou Boyan didn't say it, she wanted to invite him to collect the raw materials with her.

What Yue Yan wanted to do was very simple. It was hair accessories that little girls liked, including some hair ribbons.

She could also tell from Wang Hecui and the others that there were not many types of hair accessories in this era. She could start from here to earn her first bucket of gold.

The first raw material needed was fabric. It would be best if it was cloth bits that the factory did not want. That way, the cost would be much lower.

Next were rubber bands and hair clips, as well as hair clips and copper wire that needed to secure the bows.

The hair clips now were the commonly seen thin black hair clips. There was basically no hair clip like the one Yue Yan wanted to make. Even if there was, it was in the coastal area.

She returned home and moved the table leg away. She found the money hidden under it. There were actually 10 yuan in total.

This was the money that Yue Yan asked for when she quarreled with her father and her New Year's money. Yue Yan would throw a tantrum every time she asked for money and Yue Huaide did not give it to her. In order to ease the father-daughter relationship, Yue Huaide had to give her double pocket money to coax her. However, Yue Yan only wanted to leave this house when she asked for money. She never spent it.

Yue Yan muttered to herself in a low voice, "I'm sorry. I'll take care of your parents for you. Just take it that I borrowed this money. I hope you can live a good life in my world."

After class the next day, Yue Yan finished her homework early and called Zhou Boyan out with her.

First, she went to the retail store. The hair clips and rubber bands were very expensive and cost almost half of Yue Yan's money.

After running around for a long time, she finally found a factory. Their rubber bands were sold individually. Each piece was two cents and one meter long.
