Valentine Sat on the sofa that faced many screens allowing him to practice full control over the Holding with a press of a button. But the object of this daily routine of his whenever he crashed in this secret room was none other than watching over Summer Taylor.
He was on his third cigarette already while he waited impatiently for her to arrive.
"What's taking you so long today?"
"She must be driving Gabriel to school," Rickie answered as if Valentine haven't arrived at that conclusion on his own already.
He glared at his wristwatch for the tenth time since he had woken up and sighed heavily.
"There she is," Rickie said with a wave of relief sensing Valentine's agitation reaching its limit.
The two of them watched as she parked in the spot she favored during the days that she arrived later than usual in, one of the screens was already fixed there.
"…She's very predictable, isn't she," Rickie commented with a disapproving tone.
