Summer didn't get a wink of sleep that night, it had a lot to do with the man that knocked on her door while she was still taking her clothes off in a daze.
"Ugh…my head…it's killing me," Gabe grunted the words out.
She scooped another spoon full of the chicken soup that she quickly put together for him, but he shook his head feeling like he couldn't swallow anything anymore.
"Just a little bit more, hm? For me?"
"Nooo," He looked at the light that started seeping form behind the closed curtain of her bedroom, "I'll go lie down in the living room, you get some sleep,"
It was all too easy for Summer to keep her younger brother in his place just by placing her hand on his shoulder, his body ached all over that he didn't have the energy to push himself up while an exterior force pushed him downwards.
"You're going nowhere," she said solemnly. His fever was finally going down and both of them were exhausted.
