Summer drove aimlessly that evening. Not having her phone would've felt ten times worse had she not experienced three days without it very recently. It was almost liberating. Nothing pulling her back, no one to answer to, nowhere in particular to go to either.
"It's me and you against the world, Mini," Summer said while caressing the steering wheel of her car.
The woman who was counting her days the last time she was driving her car felt more alive than ever driving it now. The unknown road that seemed endless in front of her carried promises, it almost seemed like she still had a long time ahead.
Almost.
*Ping! Pang!*
The car made a rattling sound.
"Mini?"
