King Olaf looks at Lloyd with disbelief in his eyes as he spits out his wine.
"Run that pass me one more time boy. But be worn, whatever you say could cast your head."
"Oh, I am fully aware of that, my King. And trust me, dying today is not a part of my wishes."
"Then explain what you meant, you're here for my surrender. Like I will be the one surrendering to the Rebellion."
"Well King Olaf, I am only speaking the truth."
King Olaf snaps his fingers as all the guards instantly got in really to attack.
"Well my dear brother. It seems you got us in a pickle yet again."
"I don't know what you mean brother. It is not like I have you here for that reason now."
"It seems like you saw this coming then. Now everything's adding up. You clever bastard."
"What can I say, I am a certified pure genius."
"And yet I thought I was catching up to you."
"HEY!!!"
Both Lloyd and Philip look back at King Olaf.
"Oh, I do apologize, King Olaf. Where were we again?"
"King Olaf was about to sign the surrender of Stonehelm to join the Rebellion."
"Yeah that sounds about right."
King Olaf slams his hands on his arm rest to his throne, as he points at Lloyd and Phillip.
"Guards, arrest the two and don't let them see the daylight ever again."
All guards cut off Lloyd's and Philip's exit as they charge to capture them.
"Philip dear brother."
"Yes I know, you don't have to remind me."
Philip claps his hands twice as a magic shield appears and stops the guards from advancing.
The magic shield is a giant box that stops anyone and anything from entering in. As Lloyd and Philip stand inside of the magic shield.
"A magic shield. Haha. Do you really think that will work on us?"
"I will not say it will but it is not really magic."
"What?"
"My brother is right. This magic shield of mine is an enchantment that I made."
"Enchantment? Only the empire best should know enchantments, not someone like you."
"What can I say? I am my own type of certified pure genius."
Philip gives Lloyd a smile as shakes his head.
"King Olaf, I can tell you slightly confused on what we mean by your surrender. Let me explain, that is if you will let me."
"I don't want to hear anymore from your mouth. You scum…"
"So there are 3 things that can happen here."
"Did you not hear me when I said…"
"You talk too much. I think you need to stop talking and listen to what my brother has to say. Because if not you could lose your kingdom and maybe worse, you could lose your life."
"That is enough Philip, don't scare the poor king to death now. Look King Olaf in the coming days, Rebellion soldiers will come through your front gate and take over this kingdom so I ask you this. Will you stay a part of the Empire or join the Rebellion?"
"That is impossible, this kingdom is in Lord Haro domain. Making him still the true ruler of this kingdom. So until he dies the Kingdom Of Stonehelm will not be joining the Rebellion."
"Hehe."
Lloyd lets out a little laugh.
"What are you laughing at? What is so funny to you? ANSWER ME."
"Oh, nothing. Just that by tomorrow morning Lord Haro will be dead."
King Olaf and all the guards in the throne room look at Lloyd like he is a crazy man.
"HAHAHA." "That is outrageous. There is not a single human on the Rebellion side that can take down Lord Haro. Not in a million years. You are making that all up."
"Really. I guess I best ask the Gifted Human to bring me Lord Haro's head when he kills him. Do you not agree, brother/"
"Yeah, that wouldn't be a bad idea, and maybe we can ask him to personally deliver to King Olaf himself. Doesn't that sound great. King Olaf?"
("That's…that's impossible. I am fully aware on how strong the Gifted Human is but he can't be that strong, can he? And the other issue on hand is that the Kahler Bloodline is not something to overlook. They are well known to have special abilities that give them knowledge that others couldn't understand. And with Lloyd as the current head of the Kahler house, he has the most powerful ability. Now that is only by the rumors but i must really think on what to do next.")
"Say your claim is true, Lloyd Kahler. What would my options be?"
("It seems like he knows our last name.")
("Do you think he knows about your ability?")
("Doubtful. There are only 4 people in the world that have knowledge of my ability. But we can't show signs of our ability. So we need to change some things up.")
("Got it. Leave that to me.")
Phillip claps his shoe on the floor as a magic circle appears under him, Lloyd, and one udder King Olaf.
Lloyd looks over at Philip.
"Dear brother, please don't tell me this is your plan."
"Don't worry brother. My plan has a 80% success rate."
"And what about that 20%?"
"We don't worry about that."
"If you say so."
All the guards look over at King Olaf with fear in their eyes.
"KING OLAF, YOU HAVE TO MOVE!"
King Olaf stands up and move away from the magic circle.
"Haha. Did you really think that would work on me? You must be stupider than you look."
"Are you sure about that."
King Olaf looks down at his face and sees that the magic circle is following him.
"But how."
"It is really simple…"
Lloyd stops Philip from talking as he looks at his pocket watch.
"I see."
Lloyd puts the watch away.
"No more time wasting, Philip. We need to get this done and fast."
"Fair enough brother. I will let you do all the talking."
Lloyd walks to the walk of the magic shield and looks directly at King Olaf.
"King Olaf? I must ask you to hear out all three outcomes that can happen. But if you don't listen to them, you have a high chance of death. Would you like to hear what I have to say?"
King Olaf grinds his teeth before looking at Lloyd.
"Find but make it quick and get rid of this magic circle that is under my feet."
"Philip. Do as the requested."
"If you say so."
Philip snaps and makes the magic circle disappear from under King Olaf's feet.
"Now since that is out of the way I will expect now. Do understand King Olaf, each of these outcomes can and will change this kingdom in different ways. So I advise you to pick wisely."
"Fine but hurry up."
"Yeah of course."
Lloyd pulls out the files as they catch on fire as all the files turn into a red color.
Lloyd opens the first file
"So in the first file we have your first option. King Olaf, because of your history with the Empire, the Rebellion doesn't trust you enough to stay on the throne. We request you to step down from the throne and hand the crown to your 3rd oldest, Lola Olaf."
King Olaf looked with disgust.
"You believe I will pass down my crown to one of my children, let alone the one child I despise the most. Why not my eldest?"
Philip reaches into his suit and plows out and another file. And as he opens the file, it has all the information about King Olaf children.
"Ah, yes Roger Olaf. Age 26, and get this brother. Sir Roger is a part of the Empire military, stationed at the Kingdom Of Narva."
"How interesting. And what rank is Sir Roger's?"
"Well it says he is the Captain of the third unit, but he could have gotten a promotion."
"Well, because of your son and all his new allies that he has made over the years. Makes him ineligible to be next in line for the throne."
King Olaf looks at both Philip and Lloyd with disbelief in his eyes.
"Thats…."
Before King Olaf could even speak a word, Lloyd interrupted him.
"Before you ask about your second son. Well to put it short, he is engaged to another noble family that has strong ties in the empire, so he is also ineligible for the throne."
Lloyd closes the first file.
"That is outrageous. Because both of my sons are successful they are not eligible to become king?"
"I believe you're overlooking the problem here, King Olaf. You see, both your sons are connected to the empire, and the rebellion doesn't want to do anything with the empire. So that makes your daughter the perfect candidate."
"Is that because she engaged to that low ranking noble?"
"That has nothing to do with this King Olaf."
Philip claps his hands together.
"Brother, I believe you're getting off topic a little."
"You have a good point there. Let's go onto the next option."
Lloyd opens the second file.
"Ah yes. Your second opinion is very simple and maybe the easiest to do."
King Olaf continues to look at the both of them with disgust and angrier.
"And what is that?"
"Simple. You as king will step down from the throne and the highest rank noble family will take the crown."
"That would be a Duke. But I don't remember any family in the Kingdom Of Stonehelm having the title of Duke."
"You have a good point there brother. But it does say here. If there is no family with a high ranking title, then a family from a nearby kingdom with a high ranking title will take the crown instead."
"HA. You must think I am a fool or something."
King Olaf spits on the floor at Lloyd.
"I am fully aware that your family is one of the only families with 3 of the highest rank titles in the land. So I am not dumb enough to give you my crown, Sir Lloyd Kahler. Or should I call you Sir Duke Kahler of The Niloris Kingdom?"
("I see, King Olaf has more knowledge of me then I thought he had, or could it be that he was given knowledge about me ahead of time. How interesting.")
"It seems like you know a lot about me, King Olaf."
"HA, I know more than you could understand. I know everything."
"Is that so? Do explain."
"I will be happy to explain. For starters I know your sister is Tina Kahler. And she has been more active on the battlefield for the rebellion. Then you have two older brothers, Philip Kahler and Felix Kahler. I don't know much about Felix but I know Philip is the one that does all the digging around. And you, well outside of you being a rich boy. You have no talent or skills. All you do all day is read your books."
Lloyd smiles.
"Well it seems like you got me. Down to the last crumb."
King Olaf starts to relax as Lloyd snaps his fingers and points at King Olaf.
"But at the same time, you know nothing about me."
"What do you mean?"
Lloyd takes off his suit jacket and hands it to Philip before turning back around towards King Olaf.
"Yes you got me when it comes to reading books and being a rich boy, but you missed a couple of things."
"A couple? I would say more than that."
Lloyd gives Philip a quick glare before going back to King Olaf.
"Yes see, I was given the title of Duke at the age of 7, I was also known to be one of the ones that could change the world. I was told with my mind, I could make my own kingdom and make it the greatest. I had over hundreds of women ask me to marry them because my genius is the best that there is. I was also called by one of the seven gifted, after I turned 10."
"One of the seven gifted?" ("that means, he is like Tristen Welshock. He is on another level when it comes to his skills and talents. But that makes no sense, how did my spy miss that when they were spying on him.")
"So King Olaf, you can target my family, my title, and my money, but there is no way you will break me from my goal. Because I am a man that has the knowledge to change this world, for the greater good."
"I had enough of this.
King Olaf looks over to one of his guards.
"Do it now."
The guard nods his head as he throws a spear into the wall next to the throne room doors.
Philip looks back at the spear.
"And what is that supposed to do?"
"It's probably to counter your magic shield."
"Counter? What do you mean Lloyd?"
"You will see."
A few seconds go by as the magic shield disappears. Philip was shocked to see his magic shield get counter like that.
"What the hell."
"I see, so they have anti-magic. That makes sense now."
King Olaf points at Lloyd and Phillip.
"Now kill them both. Don't let them expect."
Philip quickly turns to Lloyd.
"We have to go. I might be able to get us out of here."
"That will not work. The anti-magic covers the whole room."
"So, what now."
"Simple. King Olaf has made his decision."
"Do what?"
Philip looked confused when Lloyd said that.
"King Olaf picked the third file."
Lloyd looks at King Olaf as the guards are feet away from him.
"Oh yes, I almost forgot to mention King Olaf. I have a fiance. And her name is Princess Gloria."
After Lloyd said that, the throne room doors are blown off their hinges and over Philip and Lloyd heads into all the guards.
King Olaf was in disbelief after what he just saw happened in front of him.
"What in the world just happened? I order you to answer me? What is your name, and I hope you're ready to die for your actions."
Lloyd starts to laugh.
"Hahaha. That is a good one, King Olaf. I would love to see someone try to kill her."
"Do what?"
As Lloyd looks back over his shoulder at the smoke coming from the entrance to the throne room.
"I am glad you made it in time."
"And I can see you're still looking at the watch of yours. I just wish you would give me more attention here and there."
As the individual walks out of the smoke, wearing all black and red armor with a long black cape. King Olaf instantly falls back into the throne with fear in his eyes.
"It…it…it can't be."
The individual removes their helmet and drops it on the floor, as their long black hair falls down their back and some over their face, causing them to move the hair to the side.
"It's…its…its Princess Gloria. The Battle Goddess."
