"We have to go now; it's getting late and I don't think your father is still here." Trevor convinced her to at least have a rest and try to look for his father tomorrow.
"I don't want to go back there," she said shivering in the cold that was getting intense.
"You can come to my place" he offered her, she had never really been to his place, Luciana was a very principled woman and in their duration of dating, they only had outside meeting during the one day off they had from work which they spent going to places and having as much fun as they could.
Trevor respected her wishes and never made her feel uncomfortable, he understood why she was so. She thought for a while before agreeing to that.
"don't worry there is an extra room," Trevor said to her knowing how much she loved her privacy. With that, they both walked to the fancy car that was parked just a few meters from where they were.
"Where did you get this nice car?" she asked since it was unusual for a cleaner to be having such big cars.
"a friend helped me" he responded while he opened the door for her in the front seat. The ride was pretty silent and Luciana was in deep thought and so much pain she was still trying to understand why all of these bad things were happening to her. She begins to think about her own life, will life turn out as ugly as it did for her mother? She turned to look at Trevor who was focused on the road, and she wondered with how sweet he was, will he ever turn against her and be a monster like her father was to her mother. He noticed her looking at him and he moved his left hand to hold hers with a warm assurance smile on his face that everything will be fine.
She was ushered into a well-furnished two-bedroom apartment, everything looked neat and very luxurious she began to wonder how Trevor managed to have such nice things with the job he was doing. However, she didn't have the strength to think about how her boyfriend was living in such a nice place; all she wanted was to be alone and cry out her pain. Trevor directed her to the room next to his which was well-arranged and looked like it had never been slept on for years.
She did not want anything to eat even though she hadn't eaten anything from when she came from work. She silently walked to the bed and sat there, Trevor sat next to her and stretched his arm to hold her.
"I want to be alone," she said with a low voice.
It's okay, if you need anything I will be in the next room," he said to her and kissed her forehead before walking out of the room. He felt really bad that he could not take away the sad feelings in her heart, if he could he would have returned her mother to life just for her to be happy. He locked the door behind him and stood there for like five minutes worried about her. He could hear her cry and sob like a child by herself, breaking his heart to pieces.
Not being able to stay there any longer he went to his room and found about 10 missed calls from his mother. It began to ring again and it was his mother calling. He picked up the call very upset.
"What do you want mother"
"I want you to come home, you said you were only going to take a month and now it's almost three months. What are you still doing their child?"
"I can't tell you yet, but am not coming anytime soon, and please don't call me again. I will call you" he said to her and hung up the call. Not being able to sleep he went back to her room's door and she was still sobbing he couldn't help but push open the door.
"I am sorry love; I can't let you go through this alone," he said walking to where she was laying flat on the floor sobbing and crying. She did not move even her head to look at him, he carried her and placed her on the bed gently he then covered her well and slept next to her, in a spoon position. She turned to look at him and he wiped her tears off her face, she embraced him with her head laying on his chest.
"I can't sleep, there is so much pain," she said in a very low tone.
"It shall be fine," he said to her turning to look at her, and she pulled her head even closer to him and began kissing him, he kissed her back but stopped her when he realized she wanted more than just a kiss.
"No, not like this." He said to her but she wasn't listening.
"But I want it today, make love to me take my mind from this"
"Babe, I promised you an awesome first time, not like this with so much pain"
"I just want to close my eyes and not see her body laying dead on the floor, those ugly writings on the wall," she said now crying.
"Let me get you something" Trevor responded to her while he got from the bed and came back with a glass of water and some pills. He helped her take them, they were some sleeping pills he would use some days when he couldn't get enough sleep and he was sure they were going to help even just sleep for a few hours.
"Don't ever leave me. I love you" she said to him as she felt her eyes become very sleepy and so tired she shut them in a few seconds and was snoring like a child.
"I will always be here for you, forever," he said to her as she slept peacefully like a child and he tucked himself in next to her.
