Chapter 7 - chapter 7

The meeting hall was filled with people of high rank, and Colonel Robert was among them.

" May the board meeting begin" one of the organizers announced as they all took their seats.

" The main reason for this meeting is to inform all district handlers that there has been progress in the war against Aeron," the lieutenant general announced. Almost everyone at the board meeting began to whisper into each others ears, but others ended immediately. The commander general grunted what sounded like enough. " Does anyone have a question? because I can see questioning faces all over the room," he added. One of the Colonels stood up as he had a question that seemed to bother every one in the room. " Sir, with all due respect, what is the need to call for the board meeting if all you had to say was that we have made progress? Why didn't the government make the good news public like they always do? He sighed with an almost angry face.

" I fully understand what is on everyone's mind. But it seems like Aeron has been making advancements and has studied our weapon system. We even confirmed sightings of some Aeron underlings. They are now clothing in human skin and have successfully infiltrated the federacy. So if we leek such news, it would lead the civilians to panick." The lieutenant general explained.

For a moment there was silence in the conference room.

" I would like everyone to give Colonel Robert Harrison a round of applause and special thanks, because today's battle wouldn't have been successful without him. He made contact with Aeron's using his only five mercenaries. And also made contact and cleared a few Aeron's across district eight battle field…" lieutenant general John Harrison added as they all clapped for Robert, some withdrew their hands from clapping after what seemed like ten seconds, while the rest kept on clapping until Robert gestured to stop.

Outside the FDC(Federal defense core), were civilians protesting against the Federacy government. " We don't want to be used as pigs" they chanted as they match the FDC floor.

" Sir, there are civilians protesting outside, and their population seems to be increasing rapidly. I need permission to send out the anti-riot squad to chase them away from the FDC ground."

" That won't be needed, sergeant, they are fighting for their rights. They can't just keep quiet and let the government do as they please. Here in the federacy only the wealthy survive, the rest will just be taken to the frontline for no just reason," Lieutenant General Harrison replied.
