Said I Love You But I Lied

Galbitang soup, a Korean-style soup made with beef and clear broth, was being delivered by a waiter to the dining table.
Ruby obeyed as Ben Hong led her into the dining room and helped her sit in one of the chairs.
The hangover-cure soup was brought in front of Ruby. The smell of the beef broth was so soothing that, even without tasting it, it was clear that it must be very comfortable in the stomach.
Sure enough, as expected, as soon as the clear but slightly oily soup water with a little sprinkle of chopped onion flavor reached Ruby's tongue, a warm and delicious flavor filled her mouth.
Ruby nodded and continued to ladle the soup spoon by spoon before she finally picked up the beef cut into small pieces for one bite.
"Do you like it?" asked Ben, who was quietly watching Ruby in her seat.
Ruby looked at her husband and nodded. "Love it. It's really good when I'm feeling sick and unwell like this."
