Chapter 138 - Chapter 135 Acquisition Of The Glasses.

I reached out to take the glasses, my anticipation building, but just as my fingers were about to grasp them, Sam's father blocked my reach.

My eyebrows furrowed slightly in annoyance as I glanced at him. "Sam! How dare you sell your Great Great Grandfather's glasses like this!" His expression transformed into anger as he glared at Sam.

Sam flinched back, his voice stammering. "Dad, it doesn't matter. We don't have any use for it." Frustration and anger replaced the earlier excitement on his face.

I withdrew my hands slightly, realizing they were being ignored. I decided to observe both the father and son while also scanning the surroundings for any sign of Bumblebee.

The scorching heat made it difficult to see into the distance, where a mirage seemed to stretch across the road. The air felt hazy and hard to discern, but amidst the blur, I spotted a yellow car emerging from the horizon.

Unsure if it was Bumblebee, I refocused on the father and son, who were now engaged in a heated argument. Wanting to expedite matters, I stepped forward, ready to increase the price. However, the father interrupted me with a questioning look.

"How much did he sell it for?"

"500 dollars," I replied, being direct and straightforward.

He lowered his head, seemingly lost in thought, and then shook his head as if coming to a decision. "500 is too little. This is an antique that belonged to a man my Great Grandfather. It witnessed the initial exploration of the Arctic Circle. These glasses were said to have seen a giant alien in the Arctic. I cannot sell them to you for only 500." He spoke matter-of-factly, while I stared at him, dumbfounded.

I couldn't help but wonder if his anger towards his son had all been a ploy to raise the price. His personality in the movies did depict him as a sneaky salesperson. Annoyance washed over me as I realized his intention to inflate the price. I also recalled that during our previous conversation about the full price, he had seemed thoughtful.

I looked at him in silence for a few seconds before bursting into laughter. "Fine, how much do you want for them?" Money was of little concern to me, considering my virtually infinite resources.

Confusion flashed across his face for a moment. His eyes briefly glanced at my car before returning to me, and he stated his price. "2000." I gave him a slight smile, then shifted my gaze back to the road, where the yellow car was now much closer.

"Okay, I will transfer the money to your bank account right about..." I paused, waiting for the perfect timing, and a moment later, his phone emitted a familiar ding.

"Now," I declared, knowing that Jarvis had completed the transaction and the sound was the notification confirming the transfer.

Perplexed, he retrieved his phone, and in that instant, I swiftly snatched the glasses from Sam's hand, aware that Bumblebee was rapidly approaching.

"Hey!" Sam protested, reacting to my quick action. He started marching towards me, but his father swiftly moved his hands in front of Sam, halting his advance.

"Dad, he stole the glasses!" Sam shouted, his anger evident, but his father remained silent, directing his gaze towards me. "It was good doing business with you," he said, glancing briefly at Sam before showing him his phone.

Sam stared at the screen, confusion clouding his face. "That could be for something else, Dad."

At that moment, another ding resonated from his phone, signaling the arrival of another notification.

I wasn't aware of the content this time,

but the doubts on their faces vanished, indicating that it must have been a message from Jarvis.

Silently, I tucked the glasses into my pocket, knowing Bumblebee had pulled up alongside an older model Chevy in the car sales lot.

"It was good doing business with you," I repeated, as the owner of the dealership approached. Choosing to ignore him, I walked toward Bumblebee.

Leaning over, I gazed into the car's headlights as if they were Bumblebee's eyes, offering a smile as I spoke. "Hello, Bumblebee." There was a brief moment of silence, with no response from the Autobot.

"I just want to assure you that I am not an enemy," I continued, beginning to turn around. Sam and his father, accompanied by Bobby Bolivia, the dealership owner, were closing in on me.

Behind me, I heard a door opening, most likely Bumblebee inviting me inside, but I decided to walk away since I had no further need for him.

Passing by them, I offered a small smile and a nod, pointing them in Bumblebee's direction. "That car right there seems interesting," I said, specifically addressing Sam as I continued walking away.

Leaving the scene behind, I entered my car, fully aware that the events unfolding next would involve our meeting in a few days.

The ideal outcome of this movie would be capturing Megatron and other decepticons and obtaining the AllSpark, although I highly doubted I would be able to keep it for myself.

I wanted to study Megatron and utilize his parts to acquire new materials and technology.

As for the AllSpark, it would be exhilarating if my armor could transform into a sentient being or if my car possessed the ability to morph into a powerful vehicle.
