Chapter 96 - Chapter 94 Jarvis' Protocol: Military Search and Rescue

"What have you done, Jarvis? Why are you apologising?" I asked, confused as to the reson Jarvis was apologising.

"Sir, when I lost connection to you, I followed the protocol and notified your family, as well as Mrs. Wednesday, who happened to be present at the time," Jarvis replied.

"Okay and?"

I had designed the protocol specifically for situation like this, and I expected this scenario to occur when Jarvis lost connection to me, That was if Jarvis was still online.

"Well from there, one thing led to another, and I proposed the idea of sending the military to search for you. The probability of something bad happening to you due to the loss of connection was high, As the disconnection was unexplainable and you were going to retrieve the Immortal Wendigo and the weird events happening according to you led me to believe that there is a high chance you had met with some kind of danger" Jarvis explained.

"Oh, God..." I muttered feeling annoyed at this but it was also a very understandable move to make by Jarvis so o couldnt really blame it, But as the seconds ticked by and I thought more about it, a wave of relief washed over me.

At least I now knew what had happened to prompt the military search was not technically "me".

"So since i couldnt make this decision myself I had to have the permision of your Family mainly"

"And they agreed I'm guessing" I said as I let out a sigh of relief now that I now knew the military Didnt have a method to track me or anything and have basically no knowledge of me other than my armour and the fact that I can fly really fast in the Air.

"Yes, mainly Mr. Mitchell, He had strongly disagreed at the legality of all this but your family convinced him, or rather peer pressured him into it with a little helping hand from me, Other than that Everyone eventually agreed" Jarvis replied.

"From there on, I received confirmation from your family as well as Mrs. Wednesday, and immediately mobilized the army units specializing in search and rescue missions to your last known location - the mountain cave. I made sure to do everything anonymously."

So now everyone knows about Jarvis's true abilities huh, that should be a whole chapter or two of family drama and somehow explaining how I created Jarvis to them...

Uncle Mitchell's acquiescence didnt really surprise me, but then again, he wasn't as strong mentally as he had been in the later seasons of the show.

"But did you consider the fact that if they found me in the cave, they would see me in the armor? They'd want to perform some sort of 'research' and confiscate the tech but now even if they didnt find me they already know what I look like," I said, my mind flashing back to the events in Iron Man with the government. "I need to avoid that at all costs." I muttered to myself.

"We discussed this with your family, and only then did they agree to the mission," Jarvis replied. "To the best of my ability, I have wiped out all traces of the operation, but I can't do much about people who already know your face and name. However, I can prevent any searches from gaining more information on you online.

"No instead of that, why not make it seem like the order itself was a mistake, switched up due to an error? It would be too suspicious if they could not find any information about me Online which could prompt them to look deeper into me" I suggested.

"That would indeed be more believable, Sir"

I made a mental note to avoid being seen in the armor as I changed my flight's direction, heading straight to Grandpa Jay's house.

The government was no longer a concern I'm sure there will be an attempt to look into me and they may even come physically for questioning but I suppose that would be as far as it could go, but I still had to be cautious.

The soldiers who had seen me in the armor would have a hard time explaining why they had all mobilized since the actual order had been wiped clean, but I'm sure they will be able to prove it through numbers.

However I am sure the question of the safety of the Giverment Network would most defenetly come to question as they would defenetly launch an investigation into this.

I sighed in relief removing g the goverment problems from my mind as mainly they were irrelevant to me and Jarvis could handle the investigation on me.

I realized that the only concern left was the Immortal monsters, or

Immortal monsters or whatever they called themselves.

Death's brew of the Earth, I believe.

"I wonder how many there are system?" I asked the system through my thoughts, recalling last time that I had wanted to ask this question earlier but never got the chance.

[It's not possible to calculate,] the system replied.

"Oh.."

I felt a sense of disappointment wash over me and focused on flying.

[Currently, there are four Totenkbrau that have been identified by the system that you have encountered] the system spoke.

I frowned in confusion. "Four? That can't be right. I've only encountered two - the Wendigo and the Frog. Are you sure there's no mistake?"

[No, There is no Mistake, there is four Totenkbrau's That have been Identified] The system reiterated.
