Due to the slight delay in plans, Zale spent the next day teaching her a few tricks he had learnt and used in art to protect himself from harm when he was still little.
Pearl found them funny but useful and learnt each properly.
Before long it was evening again and they had gotten close to the village. Rather than continuing on the journey like Pearl had wanted, Zale had a different plan.
"It is already late. I do not wish to be searching for an inn right now in an unknown location."
Pearl quirked her brow silently at him. Still, Zale did not understand her. She sighed, letting both hands drop to her side.
"Huh, that is the best time."
"Maybe so."
"It is so. We would not be seen and people wouldn't speak about us or spread malicious talk that would make your enemy learn about your arrival."
