"Where is she?"
"Your majesty," Courtney lowered her head with her palms pressed against her stomach.
"That is not an answer," Queen Dawn cautioned calmly.
"Yes, my queen. My apologies but as everyone knows, the princess stepped out with the prince."
"Everyone knows. Is that what you were told to say?" Dawn attacked.
"Ma... I mean, your grace." Fear flashed in her eyes as she sent her gaze up briefly before lowering it to avoid looking into the queen's eyes.
