CHAPTER 105 – The Devil's Blade
Both Claire and Cairo's eyes went wide in understanding and fear ran through their hearts and minds.
How in the devil's name did offering to help one person bring so much trouble their way?
Hearts thudded wildly in their chests as thoughts of what could happen filled their minds.
More than the other, Cairo felt his mind run a mile in a second. Everything had stemmed from him.
Judging from Zale's story, he did not use that blade until when he first touched it and slit his arm.
Had he not done that this witch would not have appeared. At this point, both of them knew it was not Zale's fault that any of this happened.
But Cairo's only regret was the fact that they did not have him with them to defend them against her or even hand over the blade.
He balled his fingers into fits at the thought.
