CHAPTER 72 – I'm Sorry for Making You Wait
As soon as he got close to the entrance of the cave, he took a sniff first. He made sure not to rush into any trap after everything that had happened and thus delayed his entry.
'Hmm. Someone was here.' Zale noted inwardly before moving forward till he came to the front of the cave.
As soon as he laid eyes on her, he felt a heavy weight lifted off his chest and joy returned back to his eyes and relief brought a smile to his lips.
Yet, he could not move to her. He was happy enough that she was safe.
And for the first time since he met her, Zale was conflicted if he should take the next step and come into her life once more. Or leave to free her of this ache.
After what happened to Claire and Cairo, he wasn't entirely sure if he was what was best for Pearl but deep down, he knew he did not want to go.
