CHAPTER 34 - This Cannot Be!
Normally Zale would not need her to do this before he healed up, but recalling he was far from the ocean and in his human form, he let go and behaved.
Pearl's eyes narrowed on his wound before lifting his shirt to stare at his perfectly toned muscles and abs.
She slowly let her fingers slide down the side of his injury before peeling her gaze from his body.
She watched him with teary eyes as he bit down lightly on his lips, trying to keep his mind in control.
He was hurting and she could see it. Beads of sweat had begun appearing on his forehead. The wound was deep and open.
"I need clean cloth and water to clean the wound," Pearl announced as she moved back to get those things from the bag on the ground.
Once she had the water gourd, she tore it from the hem of her gown and moved back to him.
"Sit."
Obeying her little command, he did as he was told. Within a few minutes, she went to work.
