CHAPTER 48 - Dirty Beggar
Zale's eyes flew open at the order gotten from Leo.
Without being told he knew he had been found out and things were not looking as nice as before.
Taking to his heels, he ran in the opposite direction, bumping into people as he made a run.
"Damn it!" Leo cursed out loud and chased after him.
"Get him. Do not let him escape!" He whistled and hollered as he ran, making sure his men around understood what was going on as they chased along with him.
Zale ran for all he was worth. Even though he was not so conversant with the village, he still knew some hidden path to take to avoid people and use as a good hiding spot.
After taking several turns, he took left them confused, Zale rushed into an abandoned building and started taking off his clothes.
If there was one thing he had learnt while seeking out the Pearl, it was to get ready for anything.
