Zale fell silent for a few moments while thinking of the best course of action to take in achieving his goal – ultimate calm for Pearl.
"I need you to relax and I want you to tell me exactly what you felt when you were kidnapped and before your powers attacked them. I need to understand better so I can help you."
Her eyes narrowed as she pressed her lip together. She knew he was concerned but shouldn't he be more concerned about something else?
"Isn't getting the pearl more important?" She asked suddenly changing the topic of discussion.
"It is, for the safety of my people and our powers."
She lifted her head. This was the first time he had spoken much about their powers with concern and uncertainty. Did something happen?
Her concern was worn on her face making her readable. Zale rubbed her arm to reassure her. "I am fine but I noticed my powers were not as strong today when I fought."
