CHAPTER 131
Walking out of the king's chambers, Axel held his head high but the downcast look in those beady eyes told his mother something was up.
Her eyes narrowed in on her son and immediately she pretended as though she had not seen it and smiled.
"Welcome. Shall we visit my chambers? I have a lot to tell you."
Within a couple of minutes, they were seated opposite each other in the Queen's chambers with some snacks and tea on top of the table between them.
"You do not look bright," Queen Annika's cold voice stated.
Axel lowered his gaze. He did not know where he was going to start from. Everything today had been terrible enough and now listening to her cold voice, he was sceptical about how things would go.
"Axel, I am your mother." She took a deep pause, calculating every word with his expression.
"Based on that, you should not hold back when anything bothers you."
