Ramiel put down a chair on the deck and took out some shades, he immediately started sunbathing. Knowing that travelling with a slow ass ship will take a lot of time.
With a piña colada in hand, he looked at Wakka. "Hey, man. Where are we going?" Wakka was happy to explain. "We'll stop by port Kilika first ya. We get supplies then go to Luca for the blitzball tournament."
"I see, I'd advise you to wear some thick underwear." Ramiel said cryptically. Because he could feel something huge below the waters in their trajectory.
Tidus who clearly has ADHD was trying to have some fun. One of the sailors who were using some binoculars caught his eye.
He crept right up at him and jumped on his shoulders. "Boo!" He started grappling with him for the binoculars.
After some struggle, he got the binoculars and jumped on the railings. Looking around, he checked for anything interesting. And after some time, he did see something.
Disguising it as looking at the scenery, he was checking out Lulu's tits. Ramiel noticed and he shouted out. "Does Lulu's milkers look good in those binoculars Tidus?"
Lulu went wide eyed and glared at him. "No! No! You got it all wrong, I was just checking the scenery!"
Ramiel snorted. "Yeah, like the soft mountains of Lulu?" He laughed and Lulu was about to throw a fireball at him, but Yuna and Wakka stopped her.
Tidus was being scolded by Wakka and he is kneeling on the deck. "If you're gonna leer, you should do it much better." Ramiel sighed at his antics.
"What do you mean?" Tidus raised a brow and Ramiel smiled at him. "Hey, Lulu. You've seen me naked and you definitely helped yourself. I demand the same treatment, eye for an eye."
He shamelessly said, making their jaws drop. "W-wha?" She was shocked by his shamelessness and was doubting if he was an Aeon.
"Hey, did you guys know? Lulu is a good Samaritan, she graciously used her l-" Lulu put a hand on his mouth immediately and she panicked.
"Okay! Okay! Just shut up!" Lulu agreed and Tidus' mouth gaped like a goldfish. "Heh, that's how it's done kid." Ramiel laughed and Tidus looked at him with awe.
"You blackmailed her with something though." Wakka squinted his eyes in suspicion. "Gets the job done, still." He shrugged and went back to relaxing on his chair.
"Please teach me your ways!" Tidus begged him and Ramiel smirked at him. "You just need to shoot your shot young Padawan, be confident and always chin up."
Tidus then waited for everyone to do their thing, he went up to Ramiel and sat next to him. "Hey, Ramiel sir. You said that I'm an Aeon... What do you mean by that?"
Ramiel took off his shades and looked at him. "So you've finally come to me for that huh? And don't call me sir kid, you make me feel old."
"Uhh, sorry about that. And yeah, I'm curious. I'm not like you at all, so what made you say that I'm similar?" Tidus was confused.
"You're not from Spira, are you?" Ramiel stared right at him and Tidus went wide eyed. "Yeah! I'm from Zanarkand... But they all say that it was destroyed a long time ago."
"Well, they're right. You're a thousand years into the future." Ramiel dropped a bomb on him. Tidus got confirmation and he was speechless.
"And as for you being an Aeon. You already know how they form right?" Ramiel asked him and he nodded.
"Well, technically. You aren't alive too, you're a physical manifestation. Just like an Aeon, the only difference is that something is keeping you here. Unlike me that maintains my physical form with my own energy." Ramiel explained.
"W-wha? I... I'm dead?" Tidus was having an existential crisis and Ramiel felt quite bad for the kid.
"Death is wonky here Tidus, your physical body is dead. But your soul lives on, that's what happens to the unsent and fiends."
"So I will turn into one of those..." Tidus felt dread and Ramiel slapped him on the back. "Not exactly, you're manifesting here like an Aeon. It's temporary and it's like you have permission from the lifestream. Besides that, I don't know how I'll help you with your predicament."
Tidus nodded thankfully at him, thinking that at least he knows what's happening to him. But it was still some heavy stuff and wondered what he would do now.
"I told you, chin up and no matter what. Keep your composure, you'll be surprised on what we'll find out in this journey." Ramiel patted him on the shoulder and left him alone to think.
After a few more hours, the crew suddenly felt the sea rumble. Their boat tilted and Yuna lost her footing.
Ramiel raised his hand and stabilized the ship while making Yuna float right next to him. "Hmmm, so it's here huh?"
"What do you mean it's here?" Wakka questioned and Lulu had a bad feeling about all this.
Something appeared from the water and a part of it were seen by the crew. "Sin!" A sailor shouted out. (pic)
"So that's Sin? Interesting, it uses gravity to make a shield on itself huh. It feels sturdy, even stronger than Alexander even." Ramiel observed the creature. It had a lot of Mako and it rivalled Bahamut prime.
But it was much less aggressive and a lot slower too. "Why are you so calm? Sin will destroy us all and you're the only one that probably has the ability to do something!" Lulu shouted at him.
Yuna looked at him with worry and wanted him to use his powers. "Calm down woman, I'm doing my work by observing it." Ramiel glared at her as he was concentrating.
"Sin is going to Kilika port! We must stop it!" The sailors aimed harpoons at it to distract the whale. "What are you doing!? If you use harpoons on it, we'll be dragged into the sea with it!" Wakka shouted and the sailors looked at him with a frown.
"Our families are in Kilika, forgive us lady summoner! We need to distract Sin or it will destroy Kilika!" They were about to fire their harpoons.
"Wait, let me take care of that whale." Ramiel gathered energy and clouds started forming above them.
Electricity arced and sparked right above them. "Blue Judgement." Blue light flashed right in front of everyone and a deafening thunderclap almost made their eardrums rupture.
Thick lightning fell right on Sin and fried its barrier, hitting it on one of its fins that burned it to oblivion. Huge waves crashed on the ship and water rained from above.
The whale immediately started fleeing, diving deep into the waters. It went to the other direction and the crew stared at him blankly.
His hand still arcing with electricity, he blew on his hand. "My magic is stronger. That's a good sign, but I still need to train my body."
The sailors sobered up and started cheering. "Hoorah! Lady summoner and your Aeon saved Kilika! He made Sin retreat with one attack!"
They started grouping on Yuna and celebrated. While Ramiel squinted his eyes and saw that the whale was sucking up Mako in the atmosphere and began regenerating quickly. "So that's why they can't beat it."
He then looked at his party members and they were gaping like a fish. "What? I told you, you didn't wanna see me using my powers in Besaid."
"You didn't tell us that it's that destructive!" Wakka retorted. "Are you the final Aeon?" Lulu blurted out and Yuna nodded in agreement.
"I don't know, maybe I am? Maybe not?" He smirked at them and went back to his chair.
Tidus then believed him more than ever, seeing him call down lightning from the sky like divine punishment.
"Can't we like... Just go and defeat Sin outright?" Yuna doubted they'd need to go to a pilgrimage when Ramiel was right there with them.
"Ohhh~ woe is me, I need to rest for weeks before I can fight again." Ramiel acted painfully bad to make her change her mind. Lulu and Wakka noticed, but they didn't say anything and Yuna nodded.
"I guess that takes a lot out of Ramiel. Come on guys, we need to visit the other temples to complete my pilgrimage." Yuna's naivety made Wakka and Lulu wince.
"R-right." The two looked at each other and stared right at Ramiel. "Isn't he too powerful? Besaid will turn into rubble with that attack. I thought god sent it himself." Wakka got a bit anxious.
"I don't know, just be thankful that he's on our side. But that's what I like to think, I hope I'm right." Lulu now knew he was basically unstoppable and just goes along with Yuna's pilgrimage because he wants to. Not because of Yuna's wishes.
They then arrived at Kilika port without any problems. "Let's go to the temple to pray." Yuna asked everyone.
The group started travelling to the temple. "Lots of history in these steps Tidus." Wakka remembered a tidbit on the stone stairs they were walking on.
"A legendary blitzball player trained here at his peak!" Wakka was stoked, but Tidus has no idea who that is at all.
They then heard screams while travelling to the top. "Let's go!" Lulu urged them and they found some monsters.
"Sinspawn! Sin didn't go to Kilika, but it still released some of them." Wakka shouted out and everybody prepared for battle.
Tidus held his sword tightly and was getting a bit nervous. The team started fighting and Kimari went in with his polearm while Wakka used a modified blitzball, throwing it at their enemies.
"What're you gonna do?" Ramiel looked at Tidus and nudged him to do something. "I... Swing this thing?" He was unsure and Ramiel nodded.
"That's right, you swing that thing at problems and they die." He slapped him on the back and Tidus was forced to go in combat with one of the monsters.
Tentacles burst off from the ground and began swinging at them. "What the hell is that?" Tidus frowned heavily at the sight of the tentacles.
A pretty big monster that's covered with a platinum shell also appeared and Yuna looked at Ramiel. "They're your guardians, they need to deal with things too." Ramiel stood still and knew that they could take care of them.
"I'm just worried." She observed their fight and they were doing pretty well.
"That's the first thing you have to do, trust in your team. But not blindly, check if they can handle the threat and then do something if they can't that's basic stuff Yuna. You're the leader of this party, you make the calls." Ramiel lectured her and she nodded with determination.
Once they took care of the tentacles, the clammed up shell opened up and a green monster with tentacles for fingers popped up like salad fingers.
"Eh, I've seen worse." Ramiel thought of killing it, but it wasn't that bad.
Lulu casted a firaga and Wakka distracted it by throwing his blitzball at its face. The fireball hit it on its torso, but it was still alive.
"Watch out!" Yuna shouted out as the monster vomited some goop from its mouth. Tidus dodged the attack and he broke into a cold sweat, seeing the ground sizzle.
Lulu gave it another round of fireballs and the monster exploded. Covering Wakka and Tidus in green slime.
"Ew, what the hell. I think some of it went into my mouth." Tidus spit on the ground and almost puked.
Ramiel snapped his fingers and water moved in the air. His spell covered them and acted like a washing machine for a bit, cleaning the two.
"Woah... And we're bone dry, thanks for that." Wakka gave him a thumbs up.
They continued their walk to the temple after taking care of the sinspawn. "So uh, you've got fiends in Zanarkand too?" Wakka questioned Tidus.
"Yeah, but they aren't that many. Big deal when one shows up though. Hey... Wait a minute, since when did you believe that I'm from Zanarkand?" Tidus raised a brow at him.
"I think Sin carries people ya. To the future 1000 years. And then one day, they just pop up." Wakka had a hopeful tone in his voice.
"Again... With your baseless theories when you already know the truth. Chappu was crushed in the port back then. He won't just pop up again, same with Lord Braska and Sir Jecht." Lulu stepped up, clearly upset. "And nobody will ever replace Chappu."
"Uhhh, he's right actually." Ramiel chimed in and Wakka went wide eyed. "Though your friend probably didn't get carried by Sin." He immediately crushed expectations.
"But how? Are you telling the truth?" Lulu squinted her eyes at him. "Gravity bends space and time, with enough gravity magic. It's possible to bend it enough so two points in space-time connects." He remembered the Einstein-Rosen bridge. 'Magic is weird.'
"You think that's how I landed here in Spira?" Tidus was hopeful and thought that could also bring him back.
"Yup, but yours is a fluke that will never happen again. That's for sure, so don't keep your hopes up." Ramiel looked at him and gave a wry smile.
"I see..." Tidus deflated and thought he was never going back to his place.
"Come on then, let's go to the temple so you guys can pray and we'll get on our merry way." Ramiel patted Yuna and Tidus on the back.
'There's definitely something that went on with Wakka's brother and Lulu. Better not touch on that even with a ten foot pole.' Tidus looked at their awkward atmosphere.
When they got to the entrance, some people exited and went to Wakka. "What are you doing here, praying for victory too?" Wakka made small talk.
"Huh? We, praying for victory? As if, the Luca goers always win the blitzball tournament." Their douche leader talked down on him.
"Hey, who's that douchebag?" Ramiel pointed at him. "Ah... They're the Luca goers, the champions of the blitzball tournament." Wakka replied and the guy was offended by Ramiel's question. He was about to rant away, but Ramiel squinted his eyes at him, as if to goad him to try.
"Shut the fuck up and get away from here. We have no time for you." Ramiel picked him up by his head and moved him to the side.
"What? Let's go, we're wasting time." Ramiel ordered and they gingerly followed. "Uhh. I don't think I'm the leader here." Yuna had a wry smile on her face.
Wakka and Tidus prayed on a statue and they were spotted by a woman who was another summoner in a slutty outfit.
"A summoner, are you? Dona by the way." The woman went up to them, her voice condescending. "I am Yuna, the summoner from the isle of Besaid."
"Hmmm, so you're high summoner Braska's daughter? Quite a name to live up to. My, my, my, and all these people are your guardians? What a rabble." She looked at her retinue.
"As I recall, lord Braska only had two guardians. Quality over quantity my dear, whatever were you thinking?" She shook her head.
"I only need one guardian, isn't that right Barthello?" She looked at her lackey that just nodded repeatedly.
Ramiel looked at Yuna and thought she can't just let that slide.
"I only have as many guardians as there are people I can trust. And I trust them with my life. Having many guardians is a joy and a blessing that I am thankful for." Yuna defended her friends and Ramiel nodded. Though he thought she was too nice.
"I won't question what you are doing, don't question mine. Lady Dona, leave us in peace." Yuna politely told her to fuck off.
"That's my girl." Ramiel patted her head and she blushed. "Who are you?" Dona raised a brow at his actions and he stepped up right in front of her, making her crane her neck upwards to look at his face.
"Me? I'm an Aeon. Now, I am not as nice as Yuna here. You better get your slutty ass out of here before I decide to send you to the farplane. Go suck your guardian's cock elsewhere." He made them float outside.
"Ramiel... That wasn't very nice." Yuna tried scolding him. "So? And neither were they. You only get what you put up with Yuna. Remember that, you should never let anybody trample on you."
"He's right Yuna, but I would prefer if you didn't curse around her." Lulu agreed. "Depends, but are summoners normally asswipes like that? Maybe I should hunt you guys down then, Aeons will be dangerous with people like that." He smiled and Lulu shivered.
"No! No! Summoners are usually very nice." Yuna panicked. "Calm down, it's just a joke." He laughed and they sighed in relief.
"Or was I?" He gave a cold look and was really considering it. He decided to hunt down anyone who misuses them and would make an example later.
"Come on guys, let's go to Luca. I really want to see how Blitzball is played." Ramiel saw that Wakka and Tidus were finished praying.
Lulu, Yuna, and Kimari looked at each other and thought they should really not let anyone mess with them or Ramiel might do something unexpected. They didn't know what's running through his mind after all.
Everybody then went to Luca after changing boats and gathering supplies for the tournament.
