"Woahhhh!" Ramiel travelled in the void due to an incident and he spiraled down. He then just waited, but seconds turned to minutes, then hours. "What the hell is happening? I know I don't have my body anymore, but where am I going?" Ramiel was getting impatient.
He suddenly saw a heart shaped moon that was brimming with power, it wasn't an exaggeration to say that it was a deity that held enormous power. With his senses that is really sensitive to energy, he could feel that the heart encompasses whole universes.
"Kingdom Hearts!? Damn, I've been tricked and most possibly bamboozled. We were in Kingdom Hearts all along. Makes sense, it is basically the core of the multiverse here. All final fantasy games included." Ramiel quickly concluded.
So he reached out to the true Kingdom Hearts that resides in the void. Where all the worlds are connected. And for once, the heart that made up of all the worlds was not indifferent. Sensing an individual that reached out to it on their own.
Ramiel heard a beautiful voice in his head. "A human? No, something much more. You are a seedling that will grow into a being that could rival my own." He was surprised by the voice that talked to him via telepathy.
"Y-you're a conscious being... Makes sense, you are an entity of great power that holds the hearts of universes. Interesting, though your latter words can't be reached now. I lack a body to hold my vessel." Ramiel smiled wryly as he remembered his final battle in Gaia.
Kingdom Hearts chuckled and appeared before him, a woman with unique heart shaped pupils greeted him. She had a pink and black theme, completely equal of darkness and light.
"Human, what is your name?" She went up close to him, her power rolling in waves. A spine-chilling darkness and warm light emanating from her form. "You can call me Ramiel, hey. Can Xehanort really control you with the x-blade?"
The woman tilted her head and tried remembering. "Ahhhh, that old keyblade master that should've bit the dust already? Nah, you're the first ever being that has made contact with my main body."
Ramiel then chuckled, thinking that all of the plot of Kingdom Hearts was people fighting over a fake with oversized keys. "How long have you been here?" Ramiel was curious to know more about a potentially omnipotent being.
"Since the beginning of course. I am the core of all worlds, so that means nothing would exist without me~" She lazily answered. "Hmmm, are you bored?" Ramiel smiled at her and she tilted her head.
"Bored huh... I guess I am. Though watching that old man try to control my main body and fail is pretty amusing. Funniest stuff I've ever seen." She gave a malicious smile as her dark side thought their attempts were entertaining.
He then felt quite bad for the mortals that try and play god. "He'd have a massive seizure for sure if he ever learns that. But wouldn't have he destroyed the multiverse still if he were to succeed?"
The heart eyed woman thought for a few seconds and nodded. "It would, it was still a copy of my main body. So it was enough to reset the multiverse. I'm pretty awesome if I do say so myself." She puffed her chest and was quite proud.
"Hmmm, but it's boring right? How about I break you out of here?" Ramiel gave a daring smile and she went wide eyed. Kingdom Hearts can't appear on the worlds. They would disintegrate immediately with her mere presence alone.
"Interesting... And how would you do that I wonder?" She licked her lips and was truly curious. "I'll usurp your power as much as I can and be another vessel for Kingdom Hearts. Then I can control the damage you'll do." He laughed.
Kingdom Hearts was shocked that he would tell her he'll basically steal her powers. But it was oh so amusing. "Really? Your mortal shell has been casted off. And you cannot siphon my powers no longer. How will you do that?"
Ramiel put a hand on her waist and pulled her in. "Like this?" He put his lips on hers and invaded her mouth, shocking her to no end. And with their contact, Ramiel was able to steal some energy from her.
They separated for a bit and he smirked. "Now, I can create my own body again. With enough time and energy I will contain your powers." Kingdom Hearts squinted her eyes at him and was truly amused.
"I see, I give you permission then Ramiel. Try as hard as you can, only then can you truly claim Kingdom Hearts." She winked and started to float away. "I've already marked you as mine, then it is only a matter of time." He announced confidently, making her chuckle.
"I'll await for you at the heart of every world then. Don't disappoint me." She disappeared, giving him a little gift and he came spiraling down even deeper to the depths of the void.
He quickly recreated his new and divine body and opened a rift. "Shit, shit!" He saw the bottomless void that was about to claim him. So he didn't mind wherever it was, he just went in to get to safety.
Ramiel crashed right onto a beach and was definitely gonna feel that later as he groaned. "Damn, my body is so new and fragile right now."
While he was groaning on the ground, a lady with blue hair that was talking to a hooded individual noticed him.
"Hey, who is that?" She got curious immediately and pointed at the person that suddenly appeared. "Let us investigate." The hooded man suggested and they went to him.
"Damn, that was a close call. Kingdom Hearts, you're quite mean. Not even bothering to teleport me somewhere." Ramiel chuckled as he dusted himself off of sand.
Kingdom Hearts was truly not going to save his ass. She would just wait for him in the void and watch his every move.
"Hey, are you okay? Who are you?" The blue haired woman asked and was feeling complicated in seeing another person at the dreary place.
Ramiel looked around and knew where he was. "So I'm in the deepest part of the realm of darkness."
The woman who was quite happy and ashamed that there was another person there was surprised. 'He doesn't seem shocked... Who is this man? And he is huge...'
"Ahhh, hello. I'm Ramiel, what's your name?" He introduced himself and she smiled. "I'm Aqua, what do you mean the deepest part of the realm?" (pic)
'Hmm, her hair got longer here. Maybe because she spent a long time in the realm?' Ramiel studied her for a minute, making her raise a brow at his actions.
"Ahh, sorry I was a bit dazed you see. I came from the void. And I forced my way here." Ramiel chuckled at their shocked faces.
"But... Isn't this the void? The abyss?" Aqua thought they were already at the deep end.
"That's a good one." Ramiel laughed at her and she pouted at him. "Hey, why are you messing with me?"
"The void is the immeasurable space between all the worlds. Where the true Kingdom Hearts reside. A lovely lady, she was." Ramiel nodded in satisfaction at meeting her.
The two were shocked once again. "Y-you met Kingdom Hearts? The Kingdom Hearts? But it's the heart of every world. It isn't supposed to be a person." Aqua furrowed her brows in confusion.
"Oh I did, it's not a stretch to say that she's the most important thing in the multiverse. Kingdom Hearts is the heart of everything. It influences anything. It is omnipresent and omnipotent." Ramiel explained.
The two went quiet and Ramiel chuckled at their frozen states. Kingdom Hearts is a mystery here after all. They have correct assumptions of it, but were still sorely lacking in information.
"Then... Who exactly are you Ramiel? Why do you know THE Kingdom Hearts?" Aqua thought he was a deity or something. And he also broke in at the realm of darkness like it was Tuesday.
"I'm a mysterious man, I can't say all my secrets now should I?" He teased her and poked her on her cheek.
So she started to get a bit suspicious and squinted her eyes at him. "Whoa, whoa. Calm down, blue. You can trust me. I'm totally not suspicious you know?"
Aqua deadpanned at him. "That's something a suspicious person would definitely say though..."
Ramiel sighed and concentrated a bit. Kingdom Hearts gave him a gift, and it was a pretty neat one that can get him out of this situation.
A complicated keyblade appeared in his hand. It looked like the Ultima weapon. But it has a heart theme with a crown at the top. (pic)
"I think having a keyblade is enough proof right?" Ramiel tested it out and was a bit annoyed by the weapon's inefficient design.
It was a key to Kingdom Hearts herself. But it still couldn't be used by him due to lacking power. It was more of a promise from both ends that he will reach her. And she gave the key to open Kingdom Hearts.
Aqua nodded her head and thought that was enough. "So... What are you doing here?" Ramiel was the one asking questions now and she got depressed.
"I will leave you youngsters to your conversation. It seems that I am not needed here." The hooded man saw that they connected due to their circumstances of suddenly being thrown at the realm of darkness.
They nodded at him and he left them behind. Ramiel then took out a folding chair and gave it to the old man. "Here's a seat old man, I saw you guys sitting on some rocks and the sand."
He then took out a table and a sofa. Surprising Aqua once again. "What? Never seen furniture before?" He teased her and she pouted at him.
"It's... It's just been a long time since I saw things like this." She sat down on the sofa and he was sure she was super depressed.
"Hmmm, you okay?" He patted her head and she looked up at him. She would've normally swatted away his hand. But Aqua sorely needed human interaction.
"I'm... I'm fine. They'll come for me. My friends I mean." She still believed, but he knew that she didn't quite mean it. She has resentment that she got left all alone in the darkness for a decade according to Michael Mouse.
And she didn't even know how long she's been down here. She couldn't quite perceive time normally there.
"I see. Well, you've got me over here." He smiled at her and gave her some hot food. She looked at it and was really thankful. Her stoic facade broke, tearing up at his simple kind gesture.
"Huh? Someone must be cutting onions around here or something." Aqua wiped her tears, but when he put her between his legs and hugged her. She broke down completely.
"Terra, Ven... Why haven't they come for me? I know it's difficult, but there must be a way. Right?" Aqua bawled her eyes out.
"They lack motivation. It's just that simple, some things are not worth the bother for people. And that seems to be you, sorry." Ramiel rubbed her head as she sobbed her heart out.
Michael Mouse can have an excuse all he wants. But leaving Aqua there when he finally knew she was there was still inaction. Mickey is a keyblade master and a king.
And Aqua is a keyblade master too. She is trained and primed against the darkness. Unlike Sora and his boyfriend that aren't. It was a pretty logical decision to get her out of there. Not in just a friend's standpoint, but as a king.
"Hah, Michael Mouse is doing his best. But he isn't suited to be a king. Being a leader means sacrifices, but the one he picked is a gamble that has a low chance of winning." Ramiel thought the way finder trio were a victim of power creep to highlight the protagonist.
Aqua started calming down after a few minutes, she felt a large hand rubbing her head and a strong arm hugging her waist.
"Ahhh! S-sorry about that." Aqua tried getting off, but he shushed her and made her sit back down. "Shut up, you just stay there."
Aqua went wide eyed, but she quietly sat still and fidgeted a bit. She is a keyblade master, but that doesn't mean she was good at dealing with the opposite sex.
Ramiel was dealing with her depression for a bit, but he suddenly felt darkness creep up on old man Ansem. He pointed his keyblade at the side and a small beam of energy got released.
But he clicked his tongue as Ansem got taken hostage by Xehanort's heartless. The seeker of darkness frowned heavily as he looked at the travelling beam.
It suddenly engulfed the realm with a bright light as an explosion ate up everything in its way for miles on end.
The whole realm shaked and Aqua was shielding her face from the hurricane force winds that soon followed after the explosion.
"R-Ramiel... Who are you? That strength is unheard of." Aqua was in awe as she saw the devastation and Ramiel squinted his eyes at the invader.
"Hmph, you slimy bastards have appeared eh?" He snorted and cracked his neck. It would be wise to deal with one of them now.
"A new keyblade warrior... No matter, you cannot escape this place. You will rot here with the lost warrior of light. And the darkness will consume you." He smirked at them and Ramiel laughed.
"Darkness? Consume me? You mean this?" Ramiel went deep inside of his heart as a black miasma emanated from him. Black wings appeared behind his back and his voice turned guttural.
"I am one with my darkness. And you came to the wrong house, fool!" Ramiel grinned and lunged at them with ferocity.
Ansem the seeker of darkness immediately teleported with the darkness. Ramiel clicking his tongue due to his body being weaker. So he didn't reach them.
"T-they're gone. We can't get out of here Ramiel." Aqua was sad again, Ansem got taken and they were trapped there.
"Watch this then." He dipped his hands in the air as it rippled. And Ramiel started ripping the space forcibly with his energy.
At traverse town, a world where the people who lost their worlds come for shelter. Ansem the wise and the seeker of darkness appeared.
"What do you want with me?" Ansem squinted his eyes and was on guard. "That will be for lat-" He couldn't finish what he was saying feeling a hand grip on his throat.
"Boo." Ramiel appeared with a malicious smile and he got scared like never before. A black heartless appeared behind Ansem the seeker and sacrificed itself to close the portal Ramiel opened.
The guardian stand got ripped off from him and he screamed in pain, Ramiel's hands held on to it before the portal closed. "I'm coming for you, wait patiently at home."
The portal closed and Ansem the seeker dropped down on the ground, panting. He was sweating bullets as he saw his life flash before his eyes.
"W-who in the world is that?" He was anxious and terrified. He could still hear his last words in his head. And Ramiel could pop out of nowhere anytime. Making him tremble in fear.
Back at the realm of darkness, Aqua saw Ramiel was holding onto a heartless that was quite unique.
"Tch, I have no use for this piece of crap." He crushed it into a small sphere and popped it into his mouth. Crunching on the heartless like candy.
"D-did you just eat that heartless?" Aqua stepped back a bit and was quite scared of what she just saw for the past few seconds.
"I did, they have a nice and roasted taste to them as well. Wanna try one?" Ramiel chuckled and Aqua relaxed when she saw that he wasn't a being of darkness. Well, at least totally.
"You're a being of darkness? What was that? How can you stay so bright with that much darkness inside of you?" Aqua was confused as they have always been taught that darkness is hard to control. And it could corrupt light fairly easily.
"That's my secret hon, I've always succumbed to the darkness." Ramiel appeared before her and carried her back to the couch.
His wings retracted and Aqua frowned when she heard Ramiel's words. "You succumbed to it?" Aqua thought he must be super evil or something with all that darkness.
"Not really succumbed? More like in tune, yeah. That's right, I'm not a good guy nor a bad guy in a sense." He shrugged and thought of the people he killed that he would kill again if he was given the choice. All for a better tomorrow.
"I don't understand." Aqua stared at him hard and was trying to figure him out. He was the only one she had right now and it has been years since she talked to someone extensively.
"Real heroes can't save everyone Aqua. There's only so much you can do. To be a hero is to be realistic. How many people do you think have died due to Sora and Michael Mouse not having the strength to save the worlds in time? All the worlds that have fallen here? Ramiel looked at the realm.
Aqua winced as she remembered all the worlds that fell to darkness. And there were no people anywhere she went to in her journey there.
"T-that's why we fight the darkness!" Aqua defended her raison d'etre. Ramiel then patted her head and chuckled.
"Yeah, sure. That's great and all, but did you do it because it's right? Or because that's what your master told you and your friends?" Ramiel squinted his eyes and Aqua tried remembering her goals.
She was raised to be a keyblade master. A warrior of light that fights the darkness. "If you didn't have powers, if you weren't trained in using the keyblade. What would you be right now?"
"I... I don't know." Aqua genuinely didn't know. And she was having a crisis. "Ahhh, sorry. Didn't mean to question you like that." He chuckled and Aqua glared at him.
"Being a hero isn't what you should aspire to be. They are slaves that are chained down by their fate. Admirable yes, but what's going to be left of you?" Aqua remembered herself saving Ventus and Terra.
"T-then what should I do? What should I become?" Aqua's voice trembled and Ramiel smiled at her.
"The best version of you, that knows right and wrong. That knows everything in the world isn't black and white. Stand tall and stand by your principles. No matter the cost, whatever situation you are in. Even when darkness is all what's left." He poked her on the chest and she looked at him for a second, thankful for his words.
But she noticed that he was touching her chest and screamed. "Kyah! You pervert!" She smacked his hand away and he laughed.
"What? I was just referring to your heart. Accept your resentment, it is all valid. Your anger is justified, but be in control. Make it so you'll benefit because of it." Ramiel stood up and gestured for her to follow.
"But how? How can I benefit from my anger and resentment?" She frowned and felt the swirling darkness inside of her.
He dipped his hands inside of her chest and she was shocked. Feeling his hand touch her soul. "By being the best of course. Then make sure nobody ever messes with you again."
Ramiel took out a keyblade from her heart. "What is this? It's my keyblade! But it's different." Aqua held it and she felt that it had darkness in it.
"Yeah, you can't fight everything by being a goody two shoes, girl. I'll teach you how to battle. I've raised warriors that can fight entire armies on their own. Now, come at me." He smirked and would train her a bit.
He needed someone to be with him and accompany him on his journey. He needs to conquer Kingdom Hearts quickly so he could return to Gaia, tell Alexandra, Tifa, and Scarlet he was still alive.
Ramiel got booted out, and he can't return easily. He needs to find Gaia in the void. And his weak body can't survive there. At least not for a long time.
His version of Gaia is now a unique world that floats in the expanse of the void on its own. Due to his unique existence changing it.
"Oh, you're on!" Aqua regained her confidence and would definitely be the best keyblade user ever, she thought.
He trained her in using her darkness. And because of her newfound motivation. As well as a companion. She was comfortable in using it and progressed really well.
After some time, he thought that she was pretty in tune now. "Be careful now. Make your darkness flow like water, but let your will be solid as steel. I'll make a dark warrior out of you." He ruffled her hair and laughed.
She pried his hand off and pouted at him. She blushed a bit and was embarrassed that he was treating her like a kid.
"Let's get down to business and return to the realm above." He asked for her hand. She got a bit nervous. She has waited for years to get out of there. And now it was in front of her.
Aqua was also shy in holding his hand, which was extremely lewd. But he just grabbed hers and opened up a portal with a smile.
"Let's show Michael Mouse your new self. I think he'll be quite surprised." Ramiel smirked and wants to see the look on their faces. Sora's boyfriend Riku has nothing on Aqua that he will teach to master her darkness.
"Y-yes. Let's go, Ramiel." She smiled at him and he felt her trust. They then went to Traverse Town so they could start their adventure.
