When the two arrived at Shinra, they were gingerly escorted as high value targets. Being the secret weapons of Shinra that would be vital in defeating Wutai later.
They got escorted into a room and were instructed to wait there. 'Any idea on what they want us to do here?' Alex asked with their telepathy.
'I don't know, but I have a good idea. They're probably going to test us. We might be strong in their data, but they don't have any physical evidence of it.' Ramiel concluded and the two waited.
SOLDIER director, Lazard. Went inside the room and observed the two with his own eyes. The blonde man briefly frowned when he saw them. Taking pity on them, he was the son of a slum dweller. The illegitimate son of president Shinra.
"You are Ramiel and Alexandra?" Lazard tried looking for any signs of instability on them. As they were a massive risk for Shinra. Wild super soldiers are never a good thing.
"Yes, that we are." Ramiel replied and nodded at him. Lazard closed his eyes and was relieved that the crazy ass Hojo didn't seem to have a negative impact on their mental health.
"Do you know why you're here today?" Lazard sat down in front of them and the two nodded at him. Speaking no further.
"Good, then let us start. We are going to start some tests, academically and physically. Answer these questions to the best of your abilities. You have 60 minutes." Lazard gave them a thousand item questionnaire, expecting them to at least have a reaction.
But they just took it and started answering the questions with incredible speed. 'Their mental faculties are amazing. Superhuman cognitive abilities as well, huh? I guess project Binary is really superior to project G.'
Lazard conspired with the scientific department of Shinra and launched their own project Jenova offshoot. Project Gillian, in order to increase success, they injected Jenova cells into a woman named, Gillian Hewley. And she took to it well, they then transferred her more calm and safe cells to other test subjects. But Ramiel and Alexandra's results are too superior, shutting down their research.
After 30 minutes or so, they both put their pens down at the same time and handed the questionnaire back to Lazard.
He gave the last questions a glance and noticed that they've answered it all as well. Impressing him massively.
Lazard coughed and gestured for them to follow him. "We'll go to a training facility where 2nd class SOLDIERs train. Come on, we'll test your abilities next."
The trio quickly arrived at a massive training room that was rated to contain even explosions that could heavily damage the city.
"Please pick up a standard issue weapon. You'll be entering a battle against a simulated enemy." Lazard pointed at a rack of weapons and they just picked a plain sword.
Lazard exited the room and left them to their own devices. The environment changed and they were suddenly in a rocky place. With a pretty intimidating beast in front of them. (pic)
It was a quadrupedal beast that looked absolutely jacked. With legs as thick as tree trunks, canines that were like Bowie knives. It was an absolute unit of a monster.
"2nd class SOLDIER veterans are needed against this monster. Let's see how they could compare." Lazard watched patiently, he knew that they could defeat it. How fast and efficient was the question.
Ramiel just nodded at Alex and they immediately lunged on it. He dodged a paw swipe from the beast and went under its chin. Uppercutting it, making it close its open mouth that was about to bite him.
Alex immediately went to its back legs and cut off its tendons with quick efficiency. Immediately hampering the beast's mobility.
"Wow, they're 10. Right?" Lazard looked at their files once again just to make sure. As they have extremely high physical strength. And the twins aren't even fully matured yet.
The behemoth roared and thrashed around with its tail. Making Alex back off, but it forgot Ramiel who was in front of it.
"Didn't your mother tell you to not ignore people? Rude." He put his hands on its horns and gave a flying knee right at its chin. Shattering its jaw, the beast's head got violently launched back and its brain got rattled.
Alexandra gripped on its tail and spun, building up momentum as she swung it on to Ramiel. He then met it at the air with an uppercut, making its head explode.
The beast's massive body slumped to the ground and Lazard was shocked. "They're definitely 1st class... What monsters, the subjects of project G do not have a chance."
Lazard immediately reported his findings to president Shinra. Ramiel and Alex nodded at each other. 'I guess that will be good enough. We need to at least show them that the weapons they gave us is going to be useful on us.' Ramiel showed off a bit so Shinra will have more confidence on them.
'They'll definitely have a false sense of security. I guess we just need to wait until they deploy us to the front lines against Wutai.' Alex's eyes glowed and they dusted themselves off.
Lazard went back to the room and nodded at them with satisfaction. "Okay, that will be it for today. From now on, you two will be entering SOLFIER as 2nd class individuals." Lazard appointed them in their position because if they rise up to the highest rank. People will be suspicious and dissatisfied.
"Okay, thank you." The twins replied and they were escorted to their room. Having special accomodations of course.
Ramiel checked for bugs and surveillance, but he found nothing even after flipping the room upside down. He opened up a map and started highlighting the places where Shinra and Wutai were having conflicts.
"Wutai is on the western continent. And Shinra are trying to encroach their forces. But it isn't working quite well. Even with the help of SOLDIER, Wutai knows the place really well. That's why the army of Shinra can't advance without heavy casualties." Ramiel got the specifics of the war from Hojo and they began making plans.
"So, Shinra will most likely send us as the vanguard with other 2nd class SOLDIER. They need an elite team to break through and cause some trouble further in so they can advance." Alex squinted her eyes at the map and understood why Shinra gave them their weapons.
"Umu, we are not only the vanguard. We're the siege weapons. And it's a long ways away before we can get to the center of their power which is the target." Ramiel pointed at the center of the nation which is at the north. Where the leader resides at a fort called Tamblin.
"Huh, so that's why Shinra's been having trouble. The only way to enter is through a beach on the south. And they can't fly in too many troops via the air." Alexandra looked at the mountainous paths and forests that are also a prime location for guerilla tactics.
"Yup, we're gonna storm it like Normandy, baby." Ramiel shrugged and Alex tilted her head in confusion.
"We need to meet a high ranking official of their army. Let them go, and send a letter to their leader, Godo Kisaragi. We're going to make an offer that they can't refuse." Ramiel squinted his eyes.
"But we need to up our fame first, huh? I know how this will go, he won't listen to us until we have proven ourselves. I guess it's time to show our skill and prowess." Alex nodded at his implication and was excited to use her sword.
"Don't get too trigger happy. We need to preserve their troops as much as we can. The more manpower we have later, the better." Ramiel bopped her on the nose as she was ready to dye the land of Wutai red with their blood.
"Hmph... I just wanted to use my blade in battle, not kill all of them. Nii-san, you don't have much confidence in me, do you?" Alexandra huffed at him and Ramiel rolled his eyes.
"I could feel your eagerness to cut them down. Remember, Alex. We can't have too many casualties, resentment will pile up and chances of rebellion will rise if we do that." Ramiel pulled her cheeks.
"Ahhh! Sowwy, sowwy." Alexandra apologized as she haven't thought about that. She wanted to show off as a capable warrior. And as one of the future leaders of Shinra, which is practically the world. She needed self control.
"Besides, if you want to fight. Just have a match with me." Ramiel had a smug smile on his face and Alex pouted at him.
"Maybe later, I still need to get stronger and cultivate my techniques." Alexandra frowned, and Ramiel ruffled her hair.
"As if you could beat me. I can't let my little sister go and beat me up. My pride as the big brother can't let that happen." Ramiel smiled at her and they started to have a light quarrel.

At the top of Shinra, the president of the company who started it all looked at the footage of how Ramiel and Alexandra beat the living shit out of the Behemoth.
"Excellent, I knew that Hojo would not disappoint. They are perfect." He rubbed his hands and looked at the reports that was coming from the western front.
"It hasn't been a full blown war yet. But it will be expected to be so in a year. They must be trained even further." Shinra thought that the twins must be overwhelming in strength so they can storm Wutai's nigh impregnable island.
It was the only nation in the world without Mako reactors and when they obtain or at least neutralize the nation. Then Shinra will not have a competitor.
"Lazard, send them to Wutai for some skirmishes. I want to see how they deal with them." Shinra ordered the director of SOLDIER and would begin their full operation with an elite team later.

The next day, Ramiel and Alexandra were contacted by Lazard early in the morning so the two can travel to Wutai and participate in small skirmishes that Shinra loses every time.
"I guess this is it, we're going to Wutai. I'm kind of excited, it's like Japan here. Maybe I'll see some ninjas or something." Ramiel was a bit excited and Alex sighed.
"You're practically more amazing than ninjas nii-san. We're super soldiers that can fight armies by ourselves. Don't you think ninjas are a bit mundane for us?" Alex raised a brow and he gasped.
"You take that back. You have no idea how awesome ninjas are!" Ramiel pointed a finger at her like she was a heretic.
"Like what? They scurry around at night like cockroaches and try to assassinate normal people? Why do all that when you can just bomb them with firaga or something." Alexandra huffed.
"Tch, I have failed in raising you. Ninjas are cool, they are mysterious and can be anywhere! That's their charm." Ramiel snorted and they began quarrelling.
'Are they seriously having an argument about ninjas? The girl is right, ninjas are mundane compared to them. They can storm practically any place on their own with pure force.' Lazard was flabbergasted that they were talking about things like ninjas.
He then had a small smile on his face, thinking that they were still capable of acting their age. Not just pre-programmed killing machines.
"Ahem, Ramiel, Alexandra. You've been called here because of a mission. You'll be going to Wutai and support our forces." Lazard gave them some files and they quickly scanned it.
"See? They're definitely being bodied by ninjas. Even soldiers with guns can't beat ninjas." Ramiel pointed out the report that the soldiers of Shinra were getting ambushed and they couldn't do anything.
"But they're normal soldiers nii-san. When we get there, they won't be able to wipe them out." Alexandra argued and they began quarrelling again.
Lazard sighed and thought that the twins were quite troublesome.
