I was standing in front of the girls reading the letter out loud.
"To Number 45... This is not the end, just the beginning. Until we reach our goal we will not stop no matter how many times we fail. Continue your mission until the true end of everything comes. Best Regards... Number 33."
As soon as I finished reading the letter, I looked up and said:
"This letter was under the pillow. Thanks to our little cat friend, we were able to find it so quickly. It most likely has a direct bearing on the circumstances of Jess's death. It's our only lead for now."
A deep silence filled the room.
All the girls were lost in thought.
"The letter... Was stained with blood right?" Nat asked.
"Yeah, there was a little blood on the cover. Fortunately, it didn't affect the readability of the letter," I replied.
"...But in that case, the letter must have been stained somewhere else before," Nat said.
"Why do you think that, Nat?" Eva asked.
