Adeline looked down on the young man before her. She brought him to the only bedroom in his very own, work-in-progress castle.
'How is he still breathing? His injury seems fatal.'
As soon as she was going to check on the injury, she reigned herself in. Adeline had not a single idea of how to do first aid, so she would need to call someone more qualified if she wanted to check on Alaric.
"Stay here, Alaric. I'll go get a doctor," Adeline said as she bid her farewells.
'Alaric, Adeline is gone.'
Suddenly, Alaric sat up, and said, "Thanks for telling me, Pamela. It would've been a bit embarrassing to make her worried for nothing."
Alaric took off his shirt and looked down at his chest, which was previously pierced.
'He's strong... I lost a powerful military asset in this battle.'
In his chest, Alaric saw a blue, transparent substance that pulsated with his heartbeat.
