It began.
Mike rushed towards Alaric in only a few strides, showing the physical fitness he built up over the years.
With no hesitation, the head guard slammed his wooden sword in Alaric's direction.
'You know I'm the village chief, right?' Alaric thought, chuckling at Mike's lack of hesitation. Of course, he was glad that the man still wouldn't hug his leg.
However, Mike's movement was simply too slow. Alaric casually took a step to the left, dodging it.
Then, Alaric swung his own sword down on top of Mike, who was finishing his slash directed at thin air. Quietly, Alaric thought that the end lag on this guard head's attack was a bit too long.
Although Mike couldn't see Alaric's movement, the latter being too fast, he knew it was coming, and he also knew that his change slime, Salve, could see it.
Mike, still trying to get this sword under control, shouted, "Redirect!"
