Alaric had done a few things after letting Bonnie go back to sleep.
He first wrote instructions that he would be giving to Mulder, Cicely, Piko, and Natali. Afterward, he nailed them to the doors of each person's house.

Alaric would have sent a note Mike's way as well, but Bonnie was directly informing the man of his instructions.
He gave Mulder a small note, with a drawing upon it. Alaric requested that Mulder have something forged immediately since the craftsman's furnace was complete. Of course, his forge's exterior was still in the works, but crafting this item outdoors wouldn't be a problem.
