"Now, the important thing." He put the cup down. "Did Edwin send the money?"
Ken nodded. "An hour or so after you left, a man came. He returned the carriage to us, and inside, the carriage was full of wooden boxes. In total, 167 boxes, each containing 60 taels of silver. We have moved them into your chamber."
"Good. I will first check it and then come back. Wait for me here." Nolan stood up.
"Boss, wait," Benjamin said. "We have locked the chamber. Here is the key." He took an iron key out of his pocket and slid it on the table to Nolan.
Nolan took the key and headed upstairs to his chamber.
Upon arriving at the door, he inserted the key and opened the door.
When he entered the chamber, a surprise awaited him.
The whole chamber was full of piles of wooden boxes, neatly stacked on top of one another, reaching the ceiling.
