"Who are you!?" The beggar jumped on his feet.
The other beggars jumped on their feet too and turned toward Nolan.
The shout of the beggar echoed through the deserted street. And soon, like ants, the beggars from the other buildings started running toward them. In a matter of seconds, they surrounded Nolan.
"Who are you?" A voice came from the middle of the crowd.
The beggars made а way, and from the middle of the crowd, a man walked to Nolan, facing him face-to-face. Obviously, he was the leader of the group of beggars.
This man looked to be in his middle thirties. He was bald with a huge scar on his bald head. And even though he wore shabby and dirty clothes, Nolan immediately noticed that this man had a well-trained muscular body. He was not someone ordinary.
"I do not have any malicious intent," Nolan said with a smile, showing his open bandaged palms to the crowd of beggars.
"Then why are you here?" The bald leader asked, suspicious and wary of Nolan.
