Chapter 1 - Prologue

Lilly Meya was forced to scavenge for weapons from fallen demons, as she had no access to Chillkiss or Jade's Lash, or even the Grapplehot. But Lilly was able to use a demonbow, which she would eventually discard at the earliest convenience. The only thing that carried over for Lilly from her death to the Ninth plane of hell was the Hourglass, which Xelina had insisted Lilly kept when Lilly broke ties with Xelina. As it was psychically linked to Lilly, meaning Xelina had no mastery over it.

Lilly and Xomera would make their way over the scorching Lava plains of the ninth plane of Hell, discussing their plan to assault the keep, though a lot of it relied on the fear Xomera would inflict upon the demons from her previous visits here .neither of them knew how much time was passed on this plane, as if they didn't double time it, a few days in the Hells would become a year in the material plane. Eventually they made their way to the fortress in which the Greater demon housed himself in.

"You ready?" Lilly asked Xomera, the plan would be that they climb over the gates, as they did not have an army, so they didn't need to open the gates for others, it was just the two of them.

"As ready as we physically can be." Xomera muttered, gazing at the building beyond the gates.

"Alright, let's go." Lilly said, and they climbed the gates, much to the surprise of the demons guarding it. And they began fighting their way through the city, if demons bled like mortals did, the Streets would probably be flooded with Blood, at least until the Halfway point

At the halfway point, a large portion of the demons realized who they were battling and fled, either out of fear, or the realization that through Xomera's godly power and Lilly's sheer determination to try to find a good solution for everyone she dearly cared about, Lilly did not care, and she doubted Xomera cared, as well. Eventually they made it to the Keep, it was a twisted but grand building, more impressive than any of the Betrayer's or the empire's Keeps.

They each opened one of the two large Metal doors that made the entrance to the Keep, and fifty feet away from the entrance was a smaller set of doors, this time, made out of wood, or at least hell's equivalent of wood.

"How do you want to approach entering this place?" Lilly asked Xomera, "Do you want to kick the door down or just enter it like you'd enter a door normally?"

Xomera didn't answer, she strode towards the door and blasted it open with her Magic. Lilly kind of expected this and followed Xomera into the throne room of the keep, it was Large, even cathedral like, in fact it looked to Lilly as if based on the Cathedral Imperatus, The Cathedral used by all of the Orders of the Sisters Elita often as a place of education and worship. This was built to mock that, and despite the fact that Lilly hated her past as a member of the Order of the Temporal Dragoness, she found herself insulted.

On the opposite of the room was the Greater demon, concealing his fear under a facade of confidence. That all faded away when when he went to say something, he didn't even get the chance to utter a single vibration, and he went through the Throne. It was pathetic to call him Greater after that, as when he went to stand, clearly insulted, he then began to Charge at Xomera, Lilly fired three arrows, two into his Knees and one into his eye socket, he tripped, right into Xomera's blade.

Xomera plunged the blade deeper into his form, getting close to his face as she pushed the arrow further into his eye socket. "Your confidence only showed one thing, that you truly are a clout fopdoodle." Xomera said, Killing his physical form. Which should have allowed them to go through the gate way, however it was fully, and stumbling out of the gateway was a face Lilly was too familiar with, and Xomera was as well: it was Dolga the Ritualist, someone had Killed him, when he got his bearings and saw who was in the room, his face showed that he knew just how much shit he was in.

Xomera narrowed her eyes towards Dogla, standing up straight as she twisted her sword in hand. "Look who showed up, the levereter. Listen you yaldson, what did you do with my daughter?!" Xomera snarled as she strode forward towards him, he looked to Lilly for some reason, falsely assuming Lilly wasn't going to let Xomera torture him.

"Don't look at me, I'm not going to save you- oh, and I highly suggest that you don't give her the same answer you gave me, or has it been too long for you to remember that?" Lilly said, Leveling an arrow at him.

"She's alive as far as I can tell," Dolga said, with surprising sincerity, "your Home looks lived in."

Xomera slammed him into the wall behind him, pulling him to her level as she practically pinned him to the ground, sword raised. "And where is my husband?"

"A material hour ago he was in Nightbend, in the eastern ashlands, going westward, that's where I encountered him, and you can see how that played out. Now, I have no Idea, he might be headed home- if so, you have a material month to hop in that portal and teach the little princess what she needs to know about being the Goddess of death." Dolga said with his usual smug smile on his face.

"And what about my daughter?" Lilly asked, and he looked at her like he was confused.

Xomera continued to slam his head into the floor, pissed at his smugness. She would begin beating him, only stopping to give him a chance to answer Lilly. When she Stopped Lilly walked over to him and slammed his head against the floor herself.

"Don't play the confused idiot. You know damn well who I'm talking about." Lilly said.

"And I don't care to answer." Dolga said, continuing to piss Lilly off.

"Oh, you don't? Okay, the Illusionist ever tell you what happened to his face?" Lilly asked him.

"What?" Dolga asked, Lilly Looked at Xomera, signifying her annoyance with Dolga, and then Dragged him over to one of the larger torches in the room, lit with demonfire, a thousand degrees hotter than dwarven forgefire, and held his face in the fire, creating massive burns, that would be healed once he is allowed to return to the Material plane by his patron, but right now, his face would have melted off if she had held it in there any longer, and Lilly enjoyed his screams of pain.

"Right now, Dolga, you are a very lucky man because I don't have any Nerve poison or alcohol. TELL ME ABOUT MY DAUGHTER!" Lilly spat in what was left of his face

"Alright!" Dolga yelled, coughing and wheezing from his burnt lungs, "She got away, so did your new boyfriend and your assassin friend, we haven't approached Whitereach since!"

"Then let's go, Lilly. We're wasting time. If he's not lying, which he better not be or by the gods, then I can't waste much more time." Xomera said, and Lilly nodded in agreement, placing an Arrow through Dolga's Skull, banishing him to a different plane of hell, and with Xomera, stepped through the portal created by the Greater demon's death.

When they reached the material plane, they could surmise that it was a year and a half after Xomera had Originally died. Xomera Immediately began feeling the pain that she felt in her final moments, Lilly did, too as she wasn't supposed to be in the material plane either, but she didn't show it, Xomera didn't either, but Lilly knew that she was in more pain than Lilly was, so Lilly made sure to help Xomera through the forest to her house, and surprisingly, Dolga spoke the truth: Xomera's house looked lived in, and by someone much, much smaller than Zathor

"As soon as Amara places you, you will be back in your original body." Xomera said, and Lilly watched as the demon body she had previously inhabited disappeared back to hell. And they approached the house, when they reached the door, Xomera froze.

"What is it?" Lilly asked, concerned, deeply concerned.

Xomera took a moment, taking in a deep breath before smiling slightly. "Smell that? That's our recipe." After hearing this, Lilly took a whiff of the air, and she too smiled.

"I think that's good news, what about you?" Lilly asked

"She was smart enough to learn how to cook for herself. That's good. Maybe she did learn a thing or two from our times." Xomera said, and, while still worried about Xomera, Lilly was happy that Amara was making it at least a little bit on her own.

"Let's find out, shall we?" Lilly asked

Xomera gave Lilly a hesitant nod of her head, looking back towards the door once more. As if preparing herself, Xomera stepped forward, soon opening the door and entering her home. Amara was over by the firepit stirring a pot of something good.

Upon hearing the door close, Amara gave a small sigh, continuing to focus on the pot. Lilly let Xomera speak first, this was her daughter, after all.

Xomera didn't know what to say, standing there for a moment as she looked at her daughter. She had lost some weight, and looked a little worse for ware, but she was alive, and managing.

After a moment, Xomera would step towards her daughter, calling gently. "Amara, dear, I know death can be horrifying, that's natural. I get it can cause people massive amounts of grief, thinking they would never see their loved ones again, or maybe they continued to see them over and over again. I've come back because you have a role to carry out now, dear. And I must show you that way."

When Xomera had reached the part of seeing them over and over again, she had caught the child off guard, finally gaining her attention and shock. In a matter of moments she crumbled, rushing forward to her mom, only to be unable to grasp her, causing her more grief as tears ran down her face.

Xomera, Like Lilly, was incorporeal, only Xomera hadn't been resurrected yet, and Lilly's hadn't completed.

"We're going to try to help you, as best we can." Lilly said, unsure if it was the right course of action

"I only have so long to prepare you dear, and then before your fathers come, you must make a decision. I need you to be my little stone, just like always. Can you do that for me, dear?"

At Xomera's question, Amara nodded her head, as she wiped her tears away. Watching this exchange, Lilly had to hold back her own tears, wondering how Alayna was faring after Lilly's death. Alayna had high amounts of stress and Anxiety and she would have most certainly had an Anxiety attack by now, Lilly sincerely hoped that Mara could handle it.

A week and a half passed, and Lilly and Xomera, Xomera more than Lilly Taught Amara everything she needed to know to survive- what plants to avoid, Lilly Instructed Amara on how to cook for herself, and Xomera taught Amara about being the Goddess of death

After that time had passed It became time for Amara to decide whether to send Xomera off for Judgement, or to resurrect her.Xomera and Lilly would come to stand before Amara, Xomera declaring it that it was time as she could feel Zathor drawing closer. Lilly would be placed somewhere, no matter Xomera's fate, but now it was time for Amara to choose.

The girl, stricken to tears that she was forced to say goodbye, let alone choose, stared them down silently. After a moment she shook her head "I can't send you on, you didn't deserve this." The girl choked, making her choice. And within a matter of moments, the two would be teleported.

And so, Lilly and Xomera were fully resurrected…
