Hearing Charles' interrogation, the blind vampire was also panicked, stammering without knowing what to say.
Charles waved to the other crew and shouted, "No need to wait any more, everyone on board!"
Akasha looked at the closed shipyard with great interest, a playful smile on her lips revealing small, vampire-like fangs. "How interesting, it seems these humans do have some strength. Armand, let me have these humans, it's been a long time since I tasted blood from the outside."
The male vampire Duke beside her shook his head, "My dear, that won't do. We must stick to the agreement."
"Just like family, you're as stingy as your sister," Akasha despised, casting a disparaging look at her companion as she walked toward that large door.
The little female vampire, only 1.5 meters tall, stretched out her pale hands and forcefully pulled apart the thick door seams.
A piercing screech of friction sounded, and the steel door, half a palm thick, was torn open effortlessly like paper.
The scene before them stunned the two vampire Dukes instantly—an empty floor held a small mound of explosives with a fuse slowly burning out.
Before they could realize what was happening, there was a loud boom, and the shipyard exploded, engulfing both Dukes in a fiery blaze.
From amidst the billowing smoke, a charred, blackened corpse walked out of the flames, watching the rapidly fleeing Unicorne.
The charred corpse healed quickly, and soon, a completely naked Akasha appeared in the original spot.
"Not bad, strong food is truly delicious."
As soon as she finished speaking, black hair extended from her body, and her pale skin rapidly transformed. Before long, a half-human, half-bat monstrosity, three meters tall, appeared on site.
"Screech!" The monstrous body quickly dispersed into small bats, flocking toward the Unicorne.
A group of bats also flew out of the black smoke and followed.
Watching the bats approach quickly in the sky, Charles, standing on the deck, turned and shouted towards the deck gun, "Lily! Shoot them down!!"
"Boom! Boom! Boom!" The cannon fire continued incessantly, tearing bat fragments that fell into the water, but there were simply too many bats, and the cannon couldn't keep up.
They drew closer, the sound of their flapping wings like a death curse, tightening everyone's hearts on the ship instantly.
Soon, the bats arrived. They morphed into a half-human, half-bat Monster in the air, slamming down onto the deck with shadows trailing it.
Its sharp foreclaws swept powerfully across the deck, splattering blood and flesh, and Lily screamed in horror.
Akasha, with her crimson giant eyes, turned toward the fleeing creatures, a ball of Flames appearing in her palm.
Just as she was about to hurl the Flames at the creatures, Charles, wearing a mask, suddenly appeared beneath her.
The sharp Black Blade sliced horizontally across her arm, cutting off the right arm clutching the Flames, which fell onto the deck.
"Hello, beautiful~ Is this your hand?" he teased.
"You're really annoying when you smile," Akasha kicked out, quickly entangling with Charles.
At the same time, another Half-bat Monster charged onto the deck. The four-meter-tall James, with mucous dripping from his face, lead the charge with steel to meet them.
The other crew stood at a distance, wielding various weapons in support.
Charles performed a backflip, dodging the sharp claws. His right hand, busy as well, slashed at the ferocious claws again.
After the brief encounter, Charles jumped back and steadied himself on the ship's rail.
Akasha did not pursue; she stood still, her crimson giant eyes gazing at the enemy before her.
Seeing the Monster's arm had regenerated, Charles cursed inwardly, "This is outrageous, is it cheating?!"
"Young man, the thing on your face looks nice, where did you get it? Too bad you chose the wrong master."
The irreverent Charles quickly took the opportunity to climb up the ladder, "How about I give you this thing and you let us go?"
Akasha covered her mouth and chuckled lightly, "Do you think that's possible? No rush, we can chat for a while."
"Ah! It hurts!! So painful!!" Hearing James' screams from behind, Charles became anxious. Things were not going well on that side, and continuing the conversation might lead to a two-on-one situation soon.
He turned his head towards Audric, who was cowering in the cockpit, "Hey! Blind man! Do you guys have any weaknesses?"
The timid Audric quickly reminded, "The Duke's only weakness is her heart; you must completely crush it to stop her regeneration."
"Hmph!" For the first time, rage appeared on Akasha's terrifying face, and with a spread of her wings, she surged towards the cockpit. Betrayers are always hated more than enemies.
"Crack crack," the cockpit glass shattered, and Akasha easily caught Audric, who was trying to escape. Her mouth full of sharp teeth fiercely bit down, and a blood-curdling scream echoed as the blind painter's throat was torn open.
Just as she was about to completely swallow the traitor, Charles appeared behind her unknowingly, his blade gleaming coldly as he stabbed directly into her chest.
The Bat Monster flapped its wings, repelling Charles, and looked down at the knife wound in her chest. With a coldness on her dreadful face, she said, "I've changed my mind; you humans should just be buried at sea!"
She reached behind her with her left hand, and a palm-sized circular mirror appeared in her hand. As soon as the mirror appeared, the air filled with the sweet stench of blood, which continued to intensify.
"Damn! She has a relic too!" Charles stomped his feet, ready to rush forward to stop her when Akasha spread her wings and flew into the air.
Under the bright beams from the powerful searchlights, her horrifying body transformed again, turning from a half-human half-bat Monster into a five-meter-long bat with a pig-like snout.
The bat opened its maw wide, unleashing an ear-piercing screech like a soul-reaping melody from Hell that pierced everyone's ears.
Everyone instinctively covered their ears, including the other half-bat Monster, and within seconds, blood started seeping from everyone's ears.
Next, Charles saw a chilling scene that sent shivers down his spine—a crack appeared on the rail of the Unicorne and began to spread downward.
That was made of steel! This sonic attack was effective not only against flesh but also against the ship. Allowing her to keep screaming could lead to the entire Unicorne disintegrating!
In the ensuing chaos, Charles looked around, then took a firm step onto the injured James' chest and pointed to the bat in the sky, then at his hand.
The bewildered James stood frozen. Charles slapped him hard across the face. Finally, the Giant moved, grabbing Charles by the legs and throwing him forward.
Charles collided with the bat like a cannonball, and the excruciating screech that filled the air finally ceased.
With a knife embedded in the bat, Charles screamed with all his might, "Lily! Fire the cannons!"
