Chapter 6 - Chapter 5 Leaving Prison

The Half-plane Prison is a special prison within the Demon King City. Due to its unique existence in the rift of the Main Plane, it is difficult for those without access permissions to freely enter and exit.

The Demon King's lineage happens to be the group with the most authority.

Even though, after extracting Satan Ye's Mana, Yila also has the ability to rely on the power of the Crimson Dragon and the Rune Bond to break through the Half-plane… no one can trap a Governor with ample wing reserves.

But since Satan Ye has opened the door to the prison, there's no need for him to bother breaking through…

"…"

Yila walked leisurely towards the end of the corridor, as if he were in his own garden. At the glowing end of the prison corridor was the 'gate' of the Half-plane Prison, but if the gate was not opened, it was simply a passage connecting to the next corridor.

"Are you following too?"

Asking this, Yila looked back at Satan Ye who was following behind, their crimson dragon eyes meeting for an instant. As he proceeded to leave, he continued, "To oversee my departure from the Demon King City?"

"No, I just don't find any meaning in staying in the prison."

Satan Ye replied with a curious look at Yila, because she had come to the prison just to see Yila. Now that Yila was freed, what reason did she have to stay in the prison?

"Ah, that makes sense…"

For Yila, who answered like this, the little Demon King named Satan Ye didn't say much more, just followed him, preparing to leave the Half-plane Prison. Then suddenly, as if she remembered something, she asked, "What are the circumstances of your conviction by the Empire?"

This kind of question was meaningless… at least it was meaningless to Satan Ye.

No matter how Yila answered, to her, it was just regular 'gossip' and not valuable 'information'. In other words… such questions were merely to satisfy her curiosity.

Before becoming a Demon King, Satan Ye was first a normal loli.

Finally seeing a normal loli made Yila feel quite relieved. Compared to the other loli Empress he was familiar with, Satan Ye seemed too much like a normal person… unlike someone who was first an Empress before being a regular loli.

"Then I have to start from a long time ago…"

Yila said, recollecting the causes and consequences: "It was the first day of my vacation. I proposed an idea to Isabella. I told her…"

As Yila recalled, Satan Ye also raised her question, asking, "Wait, did you say vacation? But weren't you… I've heard stories about you, usually describing you as 'tireless', do you actually need a vacation?"

What a strange description that was…

Thinking this helplessly, Yila stopped narrating the causes and consequences, and became curious about another thing, asking, "What am I like in the eyes of monsters?"

But as soon as he said it, he no longer wanted to know the answer.

"Never mind, I don't want to know…"

"At that time, I told Isabella, 'To prepare food for the dual-front war with the Duchy and the demons, nobles need to donate grain. If they donate a lot, they could have a chance to be promoted. If they don't want to donate grain, they can substitute it with land.'

Hearing Yila's account, Satan Ye's eyes widened. She asked, "So, the Empire is about to go to war with Duke Hazad? So, you say the Empire will halt its war with us?"

To this, Yila lightly nodded, "Hmm."

"Ah, alright, so what happened afterwards? Why did Empress Isabella later decide to arrest you?"

Even though Satan Ye had this question, Yila himself didn't quite understand. He said, "Isabella told me to take a vacation first. I didn't pay much attention, deciding to discuss the issue after my vacation ended."

"Later, during the vacation, I noticed the changes in the atmosphere of the Imperial Capital… The ensuing events, you should have gathered relevant intelligence as well."

"…"

Yila could very clearly see the nobles were stirring things from behind, but if Isabella was firm, he wouldn't need to care about any noble's opinion.

In other words, Isabella actually wanted to use this incident to grant Yila freedom… She completely understood that the Empire needed Yila, but Yila didn't necessarily need to adhere to the Empire.

Though indeed that was nice, however…

"Allowing the nobles to buy titles, using land as collateral for grain…"

Even someone like Satan Ye, who didn't particularly think like a 'noble', picked up on something. She realized the reason behind Yila's suggestion. She said, "You were helping her, right?"

That was kind of correct.

Listening to Yila's description, Satan Ye didn't understand why Isabella refused the territory returning to her, but Yila himself did… Isabella probably just found his nagging annoying.

In other words, it was simply a 'pat on the backside to show dissatisfaction', but what the nobles did was 'slip a knife into Isabella's hand when she couldn't hold it'… but this didn't need to be explained to the Demon King in front of him.

"The Empire will become the way I dream of… equal, calm, eternal, dictatorial."

Saying this, Yila first stepped into the light at the end of the passage. He turned to look at the little Demon King, saying, "If there's an opportunity, we'll meet again… I believe the time won't be too far off."

Saying this, Yila left Satan Ye with a back that walked into the light. It's worth mentioning… Yila was very handsome and had a well-proportioned body, making his silhouette quite pleasant to look at.

"Wait…"

Remembering something, Satan Ye called out to stop him, but it was too late. She rushed in wide-eyed after him, bursting out of the light… arriving at the Demon King City of the Main Plane.

What met Satan Ye's eyes was Yila, surrounded by swords, weapons, and bodies. Completely clueless about the situation, Satan Ye's subordinates treated Yila, who dashed out of the Half-plane Prison, as an enemy.

Though in essence, he indeed was the enemy.

"Ah, perfectly timed… Seems like our reunion is now."

Yila turned his head with a smile, what he said earlier wasn't wrong, the reunion time indeed was not too far off… it was roughly less than ten seconds apart.

"Yila Elkaras?!"

"How did you… Oh, he got out."

"Governor… Gulp~"

"…"

It seemed that everyone in the Demon King City hall was quite enthusiastic about Yila. However, this kind of enthusiasm was a bit overwhelming for him, but interestingly… even with such resentment, no one took the initiative to attack Yila.

"Mr. Yila! Please calm down a bit…"

Even Satan Ye hoped that Yila, rather than everyone in the Demon King City, would calm down…

What kind of image do I have in the Demon King Territory, really? Could it really have reached the point of 'stopping little demons from night crying'?
