Leo slashed the beast, losing focus on his surroundings. Though he was still running at full Speed. But when the beast suddenly changed direction he came back to his senses.
Just a meter away from him was a Fifteen-meter deep hole. It was dug in a rectangular form, about three meters in length, four meters breath, and fifteen meters deep.
The length deep to the ground (15 Meters) is not his guess as the place was covered with a white foggy mist.
It could be more or lesser than that, but Leo was scared of the fog. He knew that it was not an ordinary fog. He was curious about its effects, but still, he did not dare test it out.
If anything, his instinct alarm was baring in his head warning him, that no matter what happens let he not fall into the hole, it was also giving him am head aching warning, telling him no matter what let he not breathe in the fog mist.
With the speed at which he was running, Leo knew that he would not be able to stop in an instant, turning in the direction the wolf turned is also not an option as he might swirl into the hole.
It was like a car driving at full and top speed, suddenly making a sharp turn, to the right.
And there is a cliff there that the driver of the car had not noticed, even if the car turns, there is still a high chance that the car will fall into the cliff.
Because the sudden turn and change of direction will still make the car swerve into it, unless, the driver turns and applies break at the same time there is a slightly higher chance of not falling into the cliff.
But still, the human legs and car tires are not of the same shape, as unlike car tires the human leg can't change directions while stopping all at the same time.
For this reason, Leo saw jumping over the hole as the best option, but he knew that there is hidden consequences or risks which he will have to bear. The only known risk was inhaling the fog.
But he had a feeling that though the fog is dangerous, it was not that life-threatening.
Also, why the wolf was able to turn at such a sharp and dangerous corner at the perfect timing, while angering Leo at the same time because it knew the terrain well and have everything at the back of its head.
And had planned this from the beginning.
While Leo was flabbergasted and confused when he suddenly saw a hole in front of him.
He is at Lvl 7 current speed is more or lesser than 50mp/hr, so jumping the distance of Four meters in one leap won't cause him a sweat.
But what was alarming him now was the unknown danger that was awaiting for him.
But he knew, that now is not the time to think carefully and calculate things.
There are two things to do, no need to think hard as that would waste his precious time, he either jumps over the hole by acting quickly or fall into it by wasting time and thinking about unnecessary things.

Leo immediately breathes in plentiful air, jumping over the wide hole with the full force of his speed which has not deaccelerated yet.
He held his breath, everything suddenly turned in slow motion for him.
He suddenly felt as if he was affected by a magnetic force that pulled him into the hole.
A notification popped out at that moment, and upon seeing its content Leo was scared shit.
He is halfway over the hole, and he really needed to cross over or he will lose the skill he works really 'hard' to create.
He looks at the notification gasping breathing out and in the mist In the process.

Leo could only watch as his health point decreases in the hundreds with a heart breaking speed, Leo cursed his luck vehemently.
He could only watch as his HP reduced without being able to do anything to stop it.

When he reached the other side he found out that he won't be able to reach it safely, that magnetic force was making things hard for him trying to pull him into the hole.

He tried to activate, Mana Jet. But the skill showed him no response.
He started sweating profusely.

He could feel the clusters lump of snow that he is holding cutting off and he knew that he needed to act quickly.
Activating the light step, everything was confirmed. The magnetic pull on his body really reduced, making things easier for him. And he crawled out of the hole rushing out of the edge of the hole tiredly.
He was furious and promised to kill the alpha in the most humiliating way he can.
He wanted to humiliate the alpha right in front of its pack.
But he knew that was not possible, as he needed to finish this dungeon quickly so that he would ascend.
He heard a howl which he recognized as the 'wise' alpha Wolf's howl.
He then saw the silhouette of the alpha from afar as the alpha trotted toward Leo With a majestic demeanor.
Leo could almost see a smug plastered on its face.
