System, is it possible to enter the dungeon now?'
'Yes it is, but this would be the first and last time you will use the dungeon to escape from your problems unless it's an extremely dangerous situation. It's not like the dungeon is a safe place either!'
Leo sighed. He was thinking about getting strong quickly, and since killing monsters gives him strength, then why did he not enter the dungeon? Just what got into his head?!
The one that tied him stood up before saying, "Kid, you got guts to try to steal with only you! You're a mortal trying to steal from a Cultivator. We really thought you would bring a bandit, but no. And this lady seems to have mistaken you for someone else."
Leo was shocked. The woman really did think that he was a spy of a bandit that would come tonight. Everything was just so confusing. No matter what though, he could not let them remove the mask.
"Why did you do it? Why did you have to steal?!" Leo heard a deep voice that echoed through the night, and he recognized the owner of the voice. It was the mysterious man.
"I stole because I needed it. It's not like she will give it to me if I have asked nicely," retorted Leo without even thinking much. To him stealing was the answer to his every problem, and he was not planning on stopping anytime soon.
Pills are pretty expensive, and if this one was auctioned in an auction house, it could be sold for around 500 thousand gold coins or possibly more. But, it's still not on the level of things to be auctioned in an auction house; the lowest items being auctioned can easily top out at five million gold coins.
However, this, supposedly cheap pill is not something he could afford, even if he worked for a hundred years!
The money he used now was bronze coins, which was normal for poor people like him, especially in villages. He had only used silver and gold coins when his father was still alive.
Hearing his answer, the person asked him another question, "Why don't you work for it? Sooner or later you would be able to get enough money for it."
Hearing the man's response, Leo couldn't help but laugh; his throat was hoarse and dry. This was the biggest joke he ever heard! "You must be a son of a noble to say that! Either a Baron or a Viscount. You guys have things easy; things are smooth sailing for you guys, all because of your huge monthly allowance from the Emperor and your noble status. But you don't understand how the poor people suffer to get even a single bronze coin! Why not try disguising your self before going to search for work that will give you gold coins? Let me see how much money you could get! You want me to work for five hundred to even one thousand years for money only to be hunted by bandits who would want to steal it?! Ha! What a joke! I'm not even a Cultivator to be able to live that long!"
Getting the money was not the only problem. By the time he earned the money, he would have to worry about the money's safety. Bandits and gangs of all kinds would to hunt him down.
It's not like he hasn't experienced being the son of a noble or anything. His father was once a noble but he didn't dare say it. This guy might figure out who he was if he said that.
Hearing his answer, the mysterious man frowned. This guy figured his nobility, just from his question. He looked around and saw those people looking at him like they had saw a ghost.
"Are you really the son of the Baron of this village?" Alex asked. From the way he looked at them, she was sure he is the son of Viscount Eric. She just asked to hear it from his very own mouth. Her jaw wide open from the surprise of the discovery.
Seeing their expression he knew lying would not lead him anywhere; that boy got him on this one.
Sigh. "Yes, I am the son of the Baron of this village."
Hearing his words all the people there slightly bowed to him.
"I never thought that Lord Baron would take this matter seriously. You should have told me instead of following such a long process of application to be a guard only for tonight."
Meanwhile, Leo was surprised. His guess was right; this guy really is the son of a Baron! The other thing that surprised him was that Miss Alex told the Baron about him.
'She really did take me seriously, and here I am, forgetting to level up. Things would have been smooth sailing for me if i had just done that!' thought Leo with a tinge of regret and anger at himself.
The mysterious Man turned to Leo, before saying, "I would have helped you, but now I cannot help you, because from your answer, stealing is a part of you now. I am sure that you will not be able to stop anymore."
Leo sighed at his comment, why would he stop stealing? Not with his Super Thief System! Only a crazy person would stop stealing after get getting a powerful System like that.
As the conversation was dwindling, Leo knew the time to remove his mask was coming closer with each second. He noticed the mysterious man moving to the other side, his phone was on, and it seemed like he was calling someone. It did not take long for the called person to pick up the phone.
Leo was not able to hear what he was saying, but one thing was certain; they were talking about him,. He would tell his father that they caught thief, and it was not a Cultivator, thus that person can't be Leo.
Miss Alex was thinking of what to do about the thief in front of her.
"I have wasted a lot of money just to catch you, so I will sell you as a slave to get my money back! Understand?!" she said glaring at him.
Leo quickly asked the System, is there any time difference from the dungeon and this world. He had heard that there were some dungeons where time flowed differently.
'Yes master. One hour here is equal to a day in the dungeon.'
Alex quickly came close to Leo. As she was about to remove the mask, a voice jolted her out of her trance. The masked person said what she never thought he would say. Something she never once expected to hear from him.
"Wait for me! In two hours I will be back!... WAIT FOR ME! Meet me right here in two hours!"
