From his thoughts, Leo was sure that the Alpha wolf is not leading him to a cave, because the intelligent wolves are not stupid enough to know that he is not dumb to follow the lure to a cave, Knowing that, that was a trap.
Like. Isn't it too obvious? An intelligent Mutant wolf like the one he is currently facing that's running away for its life would not enter a cave where it would be placed in a dead end and be killed quickly.
Unless that cave is different, like if the cave has an opening on the other side.
Suddenly his eyes widened at a realization. What if the other wolves are already there and would lock the cave up with a big boulder leaving him trapped inside.
He shakes his head vigorously, quickly disagreeing with that thought, as much as he wants that to be their plan, he was quite sure that, that's not their plan.
'It would have been good if that was it because even if i.end up getting trapped, I can still dig myself outside, or punch my

Leo continued to chase the wolf leniently, slowly closing up the distance between them.
'Whatever it is, I need to be alert and look out for anything that would endanger me'
He almost told himself that there is nothing to look out for, because all the other wolves are out of sight. Apart from Leo and the alpha, there is no other living thing in that place, only ice and these two running on it. So whatever trap it is, it is supposed to be easy to spot, right?
Leo knew this is not going to be easy, after thinking for a while he gave up, he did not want to think that much.
But suddenly, he thought of something very simple.
'Dig, Wolves can dig right?'

He had a feeling that this was it but he was not very sure.
The Alpha turned around again, locking its eyes on Leo's before snarling, its tone and eyes were filled with contempt.
It was very angry that despite its warning Leo did not turn back.
Leo ignored its warning and continued chasing it.

With his speed increased it did not take long for him to be two meters away from the wolf.
Meanwhile, The Alpha wolf sensed dense killing intent and blood lust directed at it, and immediately turned to look at Leo.
It gulped, before giving Leo a smug look, obviously trying to annoy Leo.
Leo ignored the look and continued to chase it.
Soon, he was beside the wolf. Just at the left-hand side of it.
He slashed at the wolf, using the dagger in his right hand Wanting to kill it with that very strike.
'What will you do now dumb wolf, No Alpha! No trap! Easy peasy! I just need to kill you before we reach whatever trap we are going to reach hehe!' Leo smirked at his thoughts, not yet realizing that he was acting like a scary devil right now.
Just as the blade was inches away from hitting the wolf, the wolf made a sharp turn. Turning to his right.
All this happened quickly, and Leo was dumbfounded by its action.
But one thing was sure right now.
'Noo! I need to jump!'
